Blood is thicker than water as youth we were told,
But families are divided and their veins run so cold.
Funerals seem to be the only time they gather or talk,
Hard times are the only time they knock on your door
From birth, we were taught family values and love implanted,





Oh, how I miss my grandma cooking in the kitchen
Always a blessing to gather and see everyone pitch in.
We shamefully have not carried on the traditions,
Of our loved ones gone before us full of ambitions.




Standing behind and supporting your sister and brother
As an intrinsic Value has been overtaken by gossips
Neighbors and strangers have made part of our families
Love not based on material things but from a true heart.




Have been flushed away by modernazation, replaced
With envy, jealousy, greed, wickedness, selfishness, hatred,
Gossips, corruption, theft, and killings
for what purpose, you may think?




To stir unsettling doubt, in an effort to raise one’s clout?
Evil resides in spinning webs,
something one does when their self-worth ebbs.
Destroying others’ lives, with all your hateful lies




Sister!
This is the person who has known you your entire life, who should love
you and stand by you no matter what, and yet it’s your sister who knows exactly where
to drive the knife to hurt you the most.




I ran to her in time of grieve
Believing I had a sister to share my pains
She never say no but with grudge she give
Little did I know she sits around table with my pains




A blood I risk my life to make respected
All along she acts as though we are inseparably
Yet she makes me a laughing stock when I least expected
I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and you proved everyone right.




I gave you my life and you killed me day by day.
I want to pull my aching heart and tear it piece by piece so I no longer love you.
I want to lose my memory so I no longer think of you




Look within yourself—there’s so much work to do.
Until you fix all that, do not gossip on others’ spew.
Am sure Blood has lost its thickness finally
