The concept of performance management is embedded in the communication system developed to assist employees to succeed. It is not requires just to be given direction between supervisor and manager, but to enable an active participation on the part of the employees in the system.

It also tends to expose the employees to be known in their key job functions and to be aware of their performance expected level. It assists in the constant feedback of their performance with the opportunity to partake in any training and development. By so doing, they are rated on their performance with reward in a just and fair manner in the system.

It must be emphasized that the primary focus and objective is to achieve result. Because it tends to highlight the differences between being engaged and getting result, when one is busy. It is observed that when employee seems to be very busy, but often times, when it comes to performance, the result is often against what is expected, hence, the performance Management is in focus.
