The message “Your windows License Will Expire Soon” on your Windows 8 can be very frustrating for you. If your laptop is new and you are getting this error, then it means that the license key has been rejected. If you are running a temporary version of Win, then this issue cannot be resolved until you buy an official version.

If your Windows are activated and still you are getting this error, then follow any of the given methods:

Method 1: Restart Windows Explorer Task

To do this, you need to open the Task Manager on your computer.
1. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Del button simultaneously on the keyboard to open Task Manager Window.
2. Now, move to Processes tab and then find the Windows Explorer option.
3. Make a right-click on this option and click on End Task.
4. Select the File tab and click on New Task.
5. Now, type explorer.exe in the box and click OK.
6. Now, press Win + X and choose command Prompt from the menu.
7. Type “slmgr-rearm” and press Enter button.
8. Reboot the system.

Once this is done, your problem will be resolved. If not, then move to the next procedure.

Method 2: Change The Group Policy

1. Press Win + R button and type “gpedit.msc” in the box.
2. Click Enter or OK button and move to the next step.
3. You will see the Local Group Policy Editor window. Go to the Computer Configuration in the left pane.
4. Move to Administrative Templates and then click on Windows Components.
5. Select Windows Update button.
6. Now, make double-click on “No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations.”
7. Select Enabled and click on Apply and then on OK to save the changes.
