The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Biodun Ogunyemi has called on the striking lecturers to prepare for a long strike. This was contained in a Bulletin number 5 sent to all members of the union. According to him, the Government is not ready to resolve any of the demands of ASUU. ”Members are to be on the watch and prepare for a long drawn out struggle to salvage the university system.” The Bulletin reads.
