Are we gradually drifting into an Islamic state?

Yes, next time you see a road constructed using Islamic Sukuk Bond, kindly leave the Islamic road and drive through the bush to your destination.

Kind regards,
Muslim bother.

Federal Government had in 2017, raised a N100 billion 7-year debut Sukuk bond for the financing of 25 road projects across the six geopolitical zones of the country.
This government is working assiduously.
Thumbs up!
The government is mortgaging our future at 15%. Double digits inflation continues.

Renewable energy loans go as low as 6%; why don't our government tap into this instead of enriching the Arabian states.

2025 maturity.

Adjusted for inflation, will this make economic sense?

N5m invested in sukuk vs N5m invested in lands acquisitions (considering the peculiar Nigeria's business environment), which will give a better yield?

What is the ROI for those who invested in the OBJ's era much touted Transcorp Hilton? Be wary of investing in government when possible tenure end is nigh.

Common sense. Leave textbooks alone.

In case you do not know know, 75 percent of your pension is invested in Government.

Shut up And for ever hold your peace.

You will faint the day you realise 30% of your deposit in bank as well as 75% of your pension are borrowed to the Government in form of T bills and Bonds

Are you asking this question to be educated or asking to be cheeky? why compare apples and oranges? A single revenue streams for the roads (tolls) in itself will more than pay the investments, not to talk of ads on bill-boards, +commerce, taxes on new buildings and factories....

The pensioners are getting paid as at when due? Which pension funds were raided? Maina looted N14b of the same pension fund and got rewarded for a job well done. So much for investing with the Nigerian government.
/

NB: Everything sounds good on papers until implemented in Nigeria. Don't overlook that most important factor.

Maina did not invade your pension fund. At least not that with your private fund adminstrator
