Before President Muhammadu Buhari came to power, he was a husband, uncle, father, grandfather and a general of the Nigerian Army. Our political climate in recent times have been filled with reports of an alleged double impersonating the President of the federal republic of Nigeria. While it is so hard to believe these stories given the enormous resources and the almost impossible degree of secrecy required for an operation of such magnitude, the actions and lack of it of those who should matter tends to give credence to the rumours.
While the incoherent babbles and gaffes of the president's handlers are understandable give their antecedents, the silence and inactions of the first family cannot be understood. We are all witnesses to the maybe campaign mounted but the former first last during rumours of her husband's death just to prove otherwise to Nigerians, it begs the question of why the first lady and children have decided to keep silence in the face of these accusations. Is the name and reputation of their patriarch not worth fighting for. Even baba Obasanjo came back with his famous 'I dey kampe' mantra when faced with such reports.
To Aisha, Yusuf and Zahra(the ones that I know); is the man currently in Aso Rock your husband and father respectively. These answers will go a long way in dousing the tension currently engulfing the polity.
