The people's choice for the house of representatives at Ojo Federal Constituency, Omooba Yinka Durosinmi has said that the vision for an independent power project (IPP) for the biggest electrical / electronic market, the Alaba international market, is attainable. While addressing the members of YMD Igbo grassroot campaigners in a meeting at the Alaba international market in Ojo area of Lagos State, the Ojo Federal House of Representatives Hopeful during his remarks said that, "it's only with massive votes and supports that the people can attract more developments to its environs."

Durosinmi, a two term council chairman of Ojo, got some accolades when he was accompanied by his Director General, Hon. Bode Makinde together with members of the independent campaign Group (YMD -ICG), to interact with some representatives of the Igbos in Alaba international market.

The leading house of representatives contender in Ojo Federal Constituency, Omooba Yinka Durosinmi, said: "Alaba international market is big enough to have its independent power project (IPP) which will enhance productivity and drastically reduce cost of production, we can make this possible together when we support to the ruling party in Lagos State and at the Federal level. You should support any government that is ruling in your state of residence to attract more development, APC has been fair enough to the Igbos in Lagos State by being involved in its affairs, getting more political inclusion, and the best way to get more is to give massive votes for APC".

"I will not abscond with your mandate, I will not lavish the money meant on development on hotel bills, I will be responsive and place a high premium on integrity to make our constituency one to reckon with in Lagos State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria", he added.

Describing the effectiveness of the APC candidate in governance, Hon. Smart Unya who served under the former council chair as a political appointee, he is presently a member of the Ndigbo G - 15 in Lagos state headed by Engr. Joe Igbokwe. Unya recalled the numerous projects done under the leadership of Durosinmi which is still useful to the business district, the commuters, the industrial area and the residents of the communities, he, however, urge the populace to vote massively for YMD as the next House of Representatives Member to save Ojo from a bad representation.

Also speaking, one of the coordinators of the YMD Igbo Grassroots Alliance, Nze Felix Alajemba, informed the gathering of the intensive work done so far in its commitments to give Ojo Federal Constituency at better representative, he further stated that Durosinmi is the best thing to happen to Ojo Federal constituency at this moment and his emergence will bring a relief and a better sense of responsibility to the constituents.

Disappointed by the present level of representation of Ojo at the National Assembly, Prince Friday Nnaji, a CDA leader in Ilufe - Mosafejo, decried the poor representation the sitting Member, House of Representatives has brought on Ojo, he lamented that despite their massive support for him in 2015, the house of representatives member has only taught them a lesson, that there is need to know better who you are voting for before casting your votes. Nnaji, however, extolled YMD's legacies and he pledged their support towards his emergence.

In his closing remarks, the Director General of the YMD -ICG, Hon. Bode Makinde, appreciated the Igbos in ward k, Ojo Local Government Area, for their warm reception, he however reiterated that Ojo can't afford wasting another four (4) years to incapable hands that has brought nothing than hardship on the people because of his insensitivity which has left Ojo with no significant project from the National Assembly. He further charged the people vote for development, effective representation and integrity.

Other leaders present at the well attended meeting include; Amara Ochoudo, Ogwus Oguh, Hon. Okoro Jerry, Ezeigbo Sylvester, Obi Nweke, Prophet Emeka Chicago, Ilufe - Mosafejo Youth leaders.

Meanwhile, the APC flagbearer for Ojo Federal Constituency, Omooba Yinka Durosinmi, and members of the YMD -ICG led by the Director General, Hon. Bode Makinde, paid a visit to the palace of Elekunpa of Ekunpa Kingdom to commiserate with the King and the people of Ekunpa Kingdom over the fire outbreak at the Shibiri Market. Durosinmi, Makinde and other members of the YMD -ICG were also at the market to get first hand information on the incident.
