Nigeria looks to be in serious crisis regarding strike actions as again, health workers across the nation have threatened to embark on an indefinite strike over the federal government’s failure to keep its promise of prompt payment of salary arrears and other allowances owed them. this is on top of strike action already active by several union like ASUU, and the NLC that has said it will also embark on a nationwide strike if the N30,000 new minimum wage is not signed into law by the government come end of this month.

The workers, under the aegis of Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), issued the warning on Wednesday at the end of the 45th session of their National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.

The President of the union Josiah Biobelemoye briefed newsmen after the meeting saying that the government's perennial failure to keep to the agreements signed with the union, informed the resolution to shutdown health facilities and embark on the industrial action any moment from today.
