It is indeed sad to click on our Ministry of Foreign Affairs URL only to be greeted by the below - which apparently has been in place since June 2009. This says to any visitor, we lost our Ministry to hackers, and we are helpless. What kind of national secrets is this ministry capable of keeping? If a yeye hacker can do this, our national security is at stake. I have noticed this kind of warnings on several Nigerian sites, especially in the monetary sector, but it is not so bad that all you see on the first page is the warming. Who is going to use or visit your site after this kind of frontal message of helplessness? Are there no other ways to combat 419 and hacking in Nigeria?

This must be corrected pronto! We need to raise our standards to match our aspirations rapidly. A few years ago the army website had a message that was supposed to end with "civil authorities, but was mispelled "evil authorities".

May be if we really talk they would listen. I am delighted to say that when I clicked on the same website today the first page that warns you of 419 in the Ministry since June 2009 has given way to a befitting front page.
