The Kashim Shettima-led All Progressives Congress’ National Peace and Reconciliation Committee for the South West on Thursday ended its meetings with a closed-door meeting with the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.

The meeting was held in the governor’s private residence in Ikeja, Lagos.

The meeting with Amosun, which was earlier scheduled for Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, was the committee’s last activity in the South-West, according to a press statement .

Gusau said discussions at the meeting focused on how to resolve the crisis in Ogun State chapter of the party.

He recalled that members of the committee had on Wednesday held closed door meetings with the party’s state chairman and the Speaker of the state House of Assembly.

According to him, major stakeholders of the party in Lagos State including the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode; the party’s governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; state chairman and members of the Governors’ Advisory Council attended the meeting.

Amosun should take it easy and abide by the party's decision, otherwise he would go into political oblivion.

Reconciliation will be difficult. Amosun has sent all his supporters to another party.

And what's wrong if he abides by Tinubu decision? It was this same Tinubu that supported him to become governor, against OGD and OBJ candidates back in 2011, don't forget that.

Which political oblivion are you talking about Mr man? I love what fight amosun put in. He is winning either way. He attended the meeting because of the respect he have for buhari otherwise APC couldn't invite him and he would attend. I'm sure he would table his request for the party to be passed to the APC candidate and I'm sure buhari is behind him on that. All he wants is development and continuation of what he started. Ogun state has suffered from looters and saboteurs. Even tinubu himself knows without amosun, APC have no chance in 2019. Their candidate is unpopular here. Infact, he's yet to start a reasonable campaign because nobody will attend hence why the need to resolve with amosun. Amosun is a crowd puller any day which APC have come to realise. The new party he sent his supporters to has garnered thousands of people within a week and that's a serious threat for APC. I took my time to write this piece so that you all know amosun isn't a pushover in APC especially in ogun. All the governors stood by him and did you hear oshiomole himself has come in person secretly to pacify amosun. I live in abeokuta and I know all these things. Infact I'm an APC member but always loyal to amosun.

Better for him. Osoba was more arrogant than Amosun, but by the time he knows what's up, it was too late.

No need crying when the head is lost. Apparently APC has lost Ogun, Imo, Delta, Zamfara and Rivers states. For Zamfara and Rivers states there will be no candidates. For Delta state Cyril Ogodo/Pat Utomi are in court to remove Prophet Erue/Great Ogboru. In Imo state Okorocha certainly will work against APC. How do they expect Amosun to reconcile when his group decamped?

Whether the APC, ably misled by Oshi Omo Ole, Tinubu and incompetent Buhari like it or not, Ogun state is lost already. And Atiku is the beneficiary.

Meeting the reconciliation committee does not any where signify he has back down on his team rather it's apc that will eventually succumb to his tinubu want to hold grip of ogun like he did in lagos but never it cannot work no matter how strong he think he is the people of ogun are wiser, smarter and cannot be control by any god farther from afar their mission will fail

Most of the APC problems in the respective states will not affect Buhari.
Even the aggrieved members will work for Buhari as they don't have issues with him.

The main problem is the respective state elections, gubernatorial, assembly and so on.

Ask most of APC aggrieved members and you will hear that they don't have issues with Buhari.

He should abandon all those who won the APC primaries and all their names substituted in Abuja because he wants to show he's a man?Even members of d committee led by Shettima were surprised by d level of blatant atrocities committed in Ogun by Oshiomole.

To me, all these reconciliation is late...as far as d time frame for d substitution of candidates' names has passed, there is no way u can placate people again...placate them with what, if i may ask? my friend, oti bo!!!
