NANS CONGRATULATES ECOWAS CHAIRMAN PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI @ 76, CALLS FOR CABINET RESHUFFLE OVER CONSISTENT INDUSTRIAL ACTIONS.
"Behold thou desireth truth in the inward parts and in the hidden parts, thou shall make us to know wisdom ". The National Secretariat Of National Association Of Nigerian Students NANS, joins the World ,
ECOWAS , and Progressive Nigerians in wishing our beloved President and ECOWAS CHAIRMAN Muhammadu Buhari a happy 76th Birthday, Mr President no doubt you have consistently displayed an unrivaled commitment to a better Nigeria.
"O give thanks to the Lord for he is gracious and because his mercy endureth forever. Nigerian Students both home and diaspora is sincerely praying that God upholds, strengthen, preserve and help you our beloved president as you lead this country in the right direction.
In another development NANS is calling on President Buhari to consider a cabinet reshuffle at this time and bring on board young, fresh and capable hands especially in some sectors of the Nations Economy.
This is coming in the face of the consistent industrial actions embarked upon by various unions in the different sectors especially in the education sector is becoming absolutely unbearable for Nigerian Students, it's no more news that the Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics ASUP has also joined the league, even as ASUU is still on strike, yet the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria PASSAN are also threatening to shut down the National Assembly over a mirage of issues starting from tomorrow 17th December 2018, which coincidentally is the Birthday of our very dedicated president Buhari, No doubt if this strike goes on it will cause a major set back as regards the 2019 supplementary budget slated to be presented by President Buhari on Wednesday 19th December 2018 to a joint session of parliamentarians.
NANS is however appealing to the National Assembly to consider making a law that will create room for Stiffer penalties for vote buyers and sellers ahead of the 2019 general elections in line with President Buhari anti corruption crusade, as we consider vote buying and selling as highest form of corruption which has continuosly jeopardised the future of Nigerians!
