@Moderators, Would Nairaland please look into campaigning to at least get the thousands of Nairalanders, especially those who live in Nigeria, to go out and register to vote. I notice that many are young and probably have never voted before.

As a website catering mostly to Nigerians and Nigerian issues, please see it as your duty to also help the Nigerian people make the right decisions for themselves this election year, and that is to vote this coming April.

I think what you can do is to open a thread to the effect and keep posting reasons why People should register, then plead with the moderator to stick it while the registration last.

Definitely . . . I know I can do that and I will BUT Nairaland can also have a Special Ad/Ticker at the top of the page reminding people to go out and register as well. This in no way suggests that Nairaland has to itself get into making political decisions for people . . no it does not, and this will not be the first time a social site has helped in anyway to remind people of their civic duties to their nation and the world as a whole.

The thread should not be closed in any way.Everything about it is political and historical and it in no way in sights hate of nigerians.The person who made the thread is even a nigerian himself. The story doesn't have to take into account the part which you want it to because it is not your thread and doesn't have to cater to you.There are references above the posts and pictures of known participants so your claim is irrelevant. I would have preferred if the Moderators put my thread in the Culture Section of Nairaland. Or allowed it to stay in the Politics section. Those pictures are very historical.

And I cannot believe you all moved my thread, because of the nonsensical  crying from a known Igbo basher (alj harem). Do not believe the words of that man, even though he claims to be part "Igbo." His postings are a clear indicator of an internet troll. If you look at my thread, he was there to foment trouble and he should be banned for his tribalistic postings.

I await your decision. But please move my thread into the correct section. I tried to be as neutral as possible in showing pictures from both sides. Go through my thread and look at the Nigerian soldiers pictures I have on that thread.

I told you, several hours ago, that the picture you posted on page 2, at 7:33:24pm labeled "Biafran Soldier" is none other than Brigadier Benjamin Adekunle.  Yet you did nothing and offered no explanation.  I'm guessing you lifted the image from the book Adekunle's son edited "The Biafra War Letters."
