No matter how u stage an incident there will be loop holes. They didn’t kill the driver cos they were after Badeh. It wasn’t a random incident.

The executive order is not a good law
It makes a man vulnerable
OK he is accused
He has a court case
Executive order says u seize his assets
A man like him must own an armored car
Its taken away.
He is forced to drive regular cars
He is a target to those who don't want him to mention their names
See how he was killed like a common thief
An armored car would have prevented this

No security Escort for a 4 Star general

Yes he aired Concerning corruption.. example is Micheal flynn of USA.. facing his charges..

But to kill a whole 4 star General just like that like chicken.... that means the so called are not safe ooo

Even our former service men are not safe..

This is a red flag for PMB...

Well God help us.

The priority should be how to recover the money he looted from the Defense treasury!

Find out who assassinated him then you may find out where their share is.

The Nasarawa State Police Command on Wednesday revealed how former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh was murdered

Badeh was killed on Tuesday by unidentified gunmen along Abuja-Keffi road while returning from his farm.

However, the Command disclosed that efforts were on to apprehend those behind the “dastardly act.”

A statement issued by the Command reads: “On the December 18, 2018 at about 18:35hrs, the former Chief of Defence Staff(rtd) while returning from his farm located in Panda Development Area of Karu LGA was attacked by gunmen at Tudu-Uku along Gitata-Keffi road.

“He was in the company of his friend and driver when the unknown gunmen ambushed and opened fire on his moving vehicle. The former Chief of Defence Staff suffered gunshot injuries, which resulted to his death while his driver was injured and the said friend abducted.

“The corpse of the late Air Chief Marshal and the injured driver has been taken to NAF Hospital in Abuja.

“Following the directive of the IGP Ibrahim K.Idris, the Commissioner of Police in Nassarawa State, CP Yahaya Bello and some senior military personnel have visited the scene alongside the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team, IRT, and Special Tactical Squad, STS, who are to carry out a discrete investigation into the case.

“Meanwhile, the police Command, Nigerian Army and Air Force personnel led by Deputy Commissioner of police are in the area immediately the incident occurred with a view to rescue the abducted person and arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act.”

Hoping the perpetrators are arrested ASAP.
Amidst all the 'fishiness' of this assassination.
This is the kinda time we wish those cops on ID Channel and CSI on cables were Nigerians!
Believe me when I say Nigerian cops are better
What we lack are the instruments to get the job done

. What a stupid country called Nigeria? Are you telling us that the whole dont have security escort? Is FG not aware of his driver? This is the same thing that happened when Ocholi died along Kaduna Abuja road, they will never talk of their drivers as if they are not human. May God judge them all

I no come understand the kind of English (confusion) these people dry speak again o
"The former
Chief of Defence Staff suffered gunshot injuries,
which resulted to his death while his driver was
injured and the said friend abducted.
“The corpse of the late Air Chief Marshal and
the injured driver has been taken to NAF
Hospital in Abuja"

If Badeh died from the injuries he suffered and his driver only INJURED, how, how, and how can the corpse of Badeh and that of the injured driver be taken to NAF hospital? They even used "... has been taken".

The case sinerio that can make the driver to stop in the middle of nowhere is nigerian police Road block Or military check point on the other hand, if its kidnapping senerio, they rather take the big boys and kill the driver or leave him behind. In any case senerio the driver is always at receiving end now this event has show that is assassination.

In the absence of an eye witness who can give a clear account of what happened, every other thing the Nigerian police has written up there is just "baptized trash".

The same people in whose care two key suspects in two of the major crime cases died this year can't be trusted to say that this is " A" and that this is "B"

Trust me, they'll just enter their cell where they keep victims of mass arrests, pick those who physical features mark out as "probable" criminals and parade them to the public to avoid backlashes and public out cry.

NB: just so you know, I didn't waste my time to read their yeye statement.

Yes very likely, but there are a few puzzling things in the kidnap scenario, how come the driver didn’t die and wasn’t kidnapped as well, usually the kidnappers would kidnap everyone on scene, unless the driver played dead, two how did the friend survive the hail of bullets. The coming days would unravel further details

It is clearly a case of failed kidnap of the former army chief. My opinion

This is to all who have been in the position of authority:

Always take your security arrangement seriously because some people may be taking note of lapses!!!

Forget the mantra that you are simple and haven’t got enemies. People are watching your habits and would settle scores that you may even be unaware of.

Also, history has shown that insiders are usually involved in such crimes to direct the assassins to the target. May God deliver us from insider and all other evil doers around.

On the flip side, make sure that you do your best to improve and raise the bar of any system that you head so that you do not fall victim to lapses in that same system in the future! This is very sad! He was a former chief of defense!!!

Rest In Peace Alex Badeh!

When my uncle was kidnapped, the Fulani herdsmen killed the politician-a former LG chairman, selected the key local govt staff and took them captives. They allowed the drivers and low key workers to go. It was along Benin Ekpoma high way. The killed the politician because he tried to run after coming down from his car.

The most curious question remains- why is a retired high calibre officer of the former CDS status moving without his government entitled security details?

Why was Badeh killed, his friend abducted while the driver was only wounded? Can this govt pls explain this ugly development?

The government is the number 1 suspect in this case.
