JOB TITLE: SENIOR TESTER CODE: ST 001


TENOR 3-6 months (Could be extended)

JOB FUNCTIONS
• Gather, analyse and translate business requirements into test packs and cases
• Drawing up test scenarios as per business requirements
• Understanding and analyzing interface specifications
• Drawing up test scripts / scenarios / plans and user acceptance test plans
• Perform system, integration, regression, negative, systems integration, user acceptance testing
• Analyzing test traces/results and files
• Trouble shooting test issues
• Identifying impacts on systems if testing fails
• Setting up master test plans per project
• Setup a test life cycle in accordance with the SDLC, PM2 and PCI methodology
• Setting up and maintaining quality assurance standards
• Setting up and maintaining test environment
• Documenting and tracking test issues and resolutions
• Drawing up and keeping master test plans up to date
• Updating test cases/scenarios as new requirements are set out
• Ensure that the test environment has all necessary test equipment on hand at all times
• Documenting, obtaining approval and managing the business areas’ test changerequest
• Preparing the test results for the meetings

EXPERIENCE
• Must have a minimum of 8 years testing experience
• At least 4 to 5 years HP Quality centre & QTP experience

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
• Must possess testing /QA certifications (ISTQB/ISEB certifications) up toadvanced level

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Engineering or a related field

REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to translate requirements into test cases/scenarios
• MS Office and MS Project 2000-3/ Visio/ MS SharePoint essential
• Ability to try to break products and applications
• Must be a go-getter and ask questions
• Strong administration skills Strong document writing skills
• Previous Telecoms working experience (an advantage)
