Buhari's campaign flag-off in Uyo: Akpabio, this show of shame must end.

Sequel to the press release by the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Youths and Sports yesterday which was personally signed by the State's Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Rt. Hon. Sir Monday Ebong Uko, It is therefore pertinent to note that President Mohammadu Buhari is not by anyway deprived of the access to the ultra modern Akwa Ibom International Stadium which is popularly known as " the Nest of Champions" for his Presidential Campaign flag-off as claimed by the APC apologists and fanatics in Akwa Ibom State.


The reasons behind this are stated categorically in the Press release by the Sport's Ministry, and every right thinking human irrespective of party affiliation or religious belief would at this point decode the cautionary measure taken by the State's Government in reverting the impending calamity that's yet to befall the stadium if the caution by the technical/ management company of the stadium is violated. For clarity's sake, it should be known that the just concluded Akwa Ibom Carols was to be held in the International Stadium but for the sake of this caution by the managing Company, the State Government had to re-strategize, thereby making efficient use of  the Uyo township stadium for the event. Now ask yourself, why didn't the State government insist on using the International Stadium for the Carols if the caution do not hold great depth?


At this point, the plea by the State's Government that President Buhari and his APC travelers to take advantage of the Uyo township stadium for their Presidential Campaign flag-off which has been proven to be in its utmost state of functionality, should send a message to the Federal Government, APC and their fanatics that Akwa Ibom State under the leadership of Deacon Udom Emmanuel Gabriel is striving effortlessly to maintain what the State has always been known for: peace, accommodating and hospitable, unlike the experiences everyone had during the 2015 Presidential Campaigns in the State.


I also want to use this medium to intimate His Excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari that as a President, he should know he's not a President of APC, neither is he a President to the Fulani's, but he's a President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria: President to all Nigerians, so the need to redress some of the political issues enveloping this country. One of such which is the Akpabio vs Ibom International Stadium's menace which if not controlled, would pose a great threat towards diminishing the hard earned reputation of President Buhari. 


Lest we forget, it's on record that the same man who's displaying all sort of nonchalant attitudes and show of shame towards proving his unalloyed loyalty to the President Buhari and APC's cabal is the same man who couldn't allow Buhari's entry into the State through our airport, also depriving him of access to any of the stadiums in the State without any given excuse. I'm shocked that this same human being upon his past barbaric acts, is trying to play God even when he has seen how tangible and reasonable the State's Government reasons on why the International Stadium shouldn't be used are. 


Senator Akpabio's order that the International Stadium's gate should be pulled down in order to give entrance to the APC cabal for Buhari's campaign flag-off is another thing that's worrisome to me. You mean there's no respect to government's decision any longer, or is he doing the wish of President Buhari? 


Is it a must that the APC presidential campaign flag-off must be in the State's International Stadium, if yes, can they tell us why, or is it that they'll die or lose the election if the flag-off is not held in that same stadium? Infact, it's high time Akpabio should start telling us what he knows about the stadium that we do not know, such that he can't allow their campaign flag-off to be held elsewhere.


I don't believe Sen. Akpabio clearly understand the depth of sabotage and felony he's about committing. If he knows, he wouldn't ridicule himself by reducing himself so low to the extent of playing a miscast for the power mongers. Though I know he's one of the few power mongers we have today in this country, he should know that Akwa Ibomites will always rise up to protect their heritage and inheritance. But where will he hide his face when this barbaric plan of his is thwarted by the people of the State?


Is Sen. Akpabio aware of the impression he's creating to the world about himself, and after 2019 elections,  how would he be able to undo all the damages his self-centred interest and politics of desperation has caused him? 


How is he going to feel after when the damage is done to the International Stadium he built  by the hater of Christians, and Southerners, and will he ever be happy with himself that he gave them aide towards destroying the state? 


Even when Obong Victor Attah, his predecessor was against his government as claimed by him, was there any moves by Obong Attah to join forces with outsiders to destroy the State under his watch? 


Does Senator Akpabio know the damage he has caused the State because of his recent nonchalant behaviours and uncontrolled disgusting utterances? 


Outside the political differences between him and his successor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel Gabriel, is there any other misunderstanding that we're yet to know? 

If no, why then the sudden passionate hatred for Deacon Udom Emmanuel and the entire State? 


Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, if you keep joining hands with the haters of Akwa Ibom State to destroy the State, which State would you go to find solace when politics eventually ends?
