During the highest battles with Niger Delta militants' the Northerners paid their dues with lives & bravery to the end, and they won, is it now a crime for southerners to pay theirs ?.

Its a shame that the media are trying to instigate mutiny in Nigerian armed forces by propagating cowardice in these professional bodies.

That's the problem. See why this insurgents can't be defeated soon or soonest because u can't draft people who neither understand their dialect nor knows the terrain to go and fight.why not draft officers from the North east, North West that understand their language, then add few from other zones to fight this insurgents.

The Force Headquarters has ordered the arrest and prosecution of 190 riot policemen who absconded from the ongoing training at the Special Forces School , Buni - Yadi , Yobe State.

The fleeing policemen were part of the 2, 000 Police Mobile Officers mobilised for the training preparatory to their deployment for combat against Boko Haram insurgents in the North - East .

They were deployed by the Inspector - General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, about three weeks ago for purely military duties under the ‘ Operation Lafiya Dole.’

The Police authorities had argued that the deployment of the men was consistent with Section 4 of the Police Act and Regulations, which allows them to perform such military duties both within and outside Nigeria as may be required of them.

The 190 missing cops were believed to have bailed out of the SFS because they did not want to participate in the counter -insurgency operations .
Findings indicate that the policemen were drawn from MOPOLs 2 , Keffi; 3 Enugu; 5 Benin ; 8 Jos; 11 Calabar; and 16 Abeokuta .

Others were from MOPOLs 17 Akure ; 18 Owerri ; 19 Port Harcourt ; 20 / 22 Ikeja ; 23 Keffi Str. ; 26 Uyo ; 28 Umuahia ; 30 Yenagoa; 31 Asaba; 32 Abakaliki ; 35 Dutse ; 39 Ogbomoso ; 43 Lion Building ; 50 Kubwa ; 51 Oghara; 54 Onitsha and 56 Ogoni.

Only a foolish southern Nigeria policeman or soldier would go to fight against Boko Haram which says it's fighting for a country to be governed with Islamic Sharia Criminal codes, the same Islamic Sharia criminal codes adopted by 12 northern Nigeria states since 1999.

Start peace talks with Boko haram to create an autonomous state for the Islamic fighters.

As big as China and as powerful as China the Chinese created autonomous state for Tibet, Hong Kong, Macau, and in some other context Taiwan.

Nigeria need autonomous state to be able to achieve greater economic growth and prosperity.

The old notion that northern Nigeria is united is now broken.

All 2000 Policemen deployed by the Force to the North East have reported and are on ground on combat operation in the North East fighting along with the Military in the front line against Boko Haram insurgency.
The 2000 Police personnel deployed are in high morale and high spirit in the operation. No Police personnel absconded as alleged in the report.
The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a story by Premium Times Online media, captioned “167 POLICE OFFICERS ABSCOND FROM DEPLOYMENT AGAINST BOKO HARAM (FULL LIST)”.

2. The Force wishes to categorically state that the story is untrue, absolute falsehood and a deliberate attempt to cast aspersions on the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in the ongoing fight against the Boko Haram insurgency.

3. The insinuation in some quarters and as reported in the story that 167 out the 2000 additional Police Officers recently deployed by the IGP absconded is not correct and should be disregarded by members of the public. These 2000 Police personnel are to complement the efforts of the Military to add new impetus to the fight against the decimated Boko Haram insurgency.

4. This story was investigated and it was found out not to be correct, there is no reason whatsoever that Police personnel deployed for the operations in the North East would abscond. The Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel have been engaged actively in the front line along with the Military in the fight against Boko Haram terrorist group since the inception of the insurgency.

5. These 2000 Police Officers recently deployed are in addition to several thousands of Police Personnel already engaged in the fight against insurgency with the Military in the North East. The list of 167 names attached to the story is fake as the Officers mentioned are on ground in the North East.

6. The 2000 police personnel deployed are in high morale and high spirit in the operation, the Force sees the story as a deliberate attempt to promote insurgency and dapple the morale of Officers and Men of the Police and other services who on daily basis lay down their lives to protect our dear Nation, Nigeria and ensure security of all citizenry.

7. Members of the public are hereby implored to disregard the story in its entirety as a pure misinformation and hearsay.

8. It is evidently clear that the writer of the story has never visited the venue of training or witness the deployment of the Police personnel in the operation but rely ignorantly on hearsay from misguided individuals who are being used to work against national interest and security.

It's part of the Islamization agenda. Open your eyes now. Even most of the soldiers killed so far are from the south. They should publish the list.
