On the road to Ekeremor!

For decades, the great people of Ekeremor and communities in the local government area were cut off from other parts of Bayelsa State. The only road project which could have provided succor to the deprived communities was abandoned at conception by the Federal Government over forty years ago. The people were left with no other option than to travel first to Bomadi, Delta State, through the turbulent waterways to link up Yenagoa and other parts of Bayelsa.

However, the Governor who had broken a 40-year old jinx to ride in a convoy of cars to Aleibiri in December 2017, promised the people that vehicles would drive to Ekeremor Town in December 2018 for the first time.

Governor Dickson did not hide his determination to rewrite history, to complete the multi billion Naira Sagbama/Ekeremor Road designed to open up communities in Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government Areas. While many believed that this particular promise shared a border with the impossible, as a leader who treasures the sanctity of promises, Governor Henry Seriake Dickson, has been resolute in the determination to make governance responsive to the needs of the people he loves with a passion beyond description.

Those things that were erstwhile considered impossible are happening in this era of Restoration. Car are being driven to Ekeremor town in December 2018.

Truly a promise kept!
