In line with INEC timetable for the 2019 general elections, political campaigns have begun, with various political parties and candidates unveiling their policy frameworks and mantras. While Atiku says he wants to get Nigeria working again, President Buhari of the APC promises to take Nigeria to the next level.

The battle towards winning crucial regions especially the South-East and South-West has also started. Atiku has already picked Peter Obi as Vice President to appease the Igbos, while promising the Yorubas the position of SGF. In Atiku's thinking, he cares and loves the Igbos more and thus should be voted massively in the region.

I beg to disagree. Giving Igbos VP doesn't translate to love. It goes beyond zoning the position to the region and that is the reason why some governors are kicking against his candidature. Recall that his choice of Obi was arrived at without due consultation of critical stakeholders in the region, a move that demonstrates how unimportant he considers them.

Atiku has shown from the word go that he cannot be trusted. Firstly, he said he would do a single term of 4yrs, but his policy document marshaled out plans covering over 6yrs. That means Atiku is already contemplating second term, a decision that would again deny the Igbos Presidency in 2023.

Atiku, in his desperation for power, promised many people the VP slot both in the South-West and South-East, just to secure their support. He thereafter broke their hearts and settled on Obi. How then can he be trusted with one term? If he claims to be instrumental to the frustration of the third term bid of Obasanjo, is there no possibility that he could use his experience to perpetuate himself in office? Atiku's businesses are mostly in the West and Niger Delta, won't he abandon the Igbos for these region's after elections?

Buhari on the other hand has sent his SGF to meet with stakeholders in the region, promising them support in 2023. He also hosted Igbo governors and other stakeholders at the villa recently. He is spearheading the construction of the Second Niger Bridge, a contract Jonathan awarded for political capital. His key ministers are from the region including the Ministers of Labour and Employment; Foreign Affairs; Science and Technology; Petroleum; State for Education; and Trade and Investment.

The Igbo must now choose between waiting for additional 8yrs (ATIKU) or play the politics of 4 is greater and better than 8.

Shockingly, almost all the things listed there as buhari's achievement in South east are not true including the 'launch' of the ogoni clean up which they maliciously added there.
I would have loved to say all are lies but I have not been to three mentioned in recent times but as for the rest, lies of the APC

am beginning to wonder why some group of people are suffering from permanent amnesia. PDP looted this country to stupor, and left the country indebted in 2015. now that Buhari has revived the country small and is once again working. the power grabbers are hungry to come back and loot. this time NNPC cash cow will be part of the loot. Nigerians! beware!!!!

Your 5% votes is inconsequential. We proved that to you in 2015, we shall prove that again. Then you will go and meet Atikuloot in US prison for 2nd Niger Bridge

Buhahahahaha... Frank Eze has released another thought provoking piece. Igbo's have not yet unraveled the mystery behind the selection of Peter Obi as running mate. New generation slavery of the mind and an entire struggling region of the country. Sad!

This Igbo matter is really winding some people up. Ever since the core western political block led by tinubu found their way into the corridors of power, tribalism has assumed a life of its own. Supporting GEJ in 2015 has become political death sentence according to them. Supporting Atiku in 2019 to them means actually facing the firing squad. My question is why are people being afraid on behalf of the Igbo. They are ready to take a political gamble and are also willing the live with the consequences. What is the importance of Atiku or Buhari love for the Igbo. As I type this a woman is facing a preventable death in a mushroom clinic in Daura. A diabetic man has been told by Doctor in Ogun state that he can't live more than 10 days because of complications resulting from the fact the he can't maintain the eating lifestyle required to manage diabetes. Yet their sons who loves them is the President an vice president. Please stop insulting our sensibilities. Igbos are not looking for love. We want a better Nigeria where all man can thrive.

Then let them be. Allow them to give that 5% vote to whom they like. It's called democracy.

The Lagos-Calabar road is also one of the very important things Buhari's regime did because the road goes through the South East region. I believe the shortest way to Igbo presidency in this country is through Buhari.

The Lagos Calabar road goes thru the South East? This is very ridiculous. Where are you From?

An average zombie is brainless!

How can one compare an individual to a government in terms of projects? Seriously zombies are becoming a plague in this country.

Osha-Owerri road? The same road constructed by Obasanjo during his tenure while Atiku was the VP? Which section of the road was constructed by the Dullard?

Which Osha-Enugu road again?

Which River Niger bridge did he construct?

Ogoni is now in South East?

I can bet anything that this was written by an Afonja! The Ogoni situated in the East gave up the writer as an afonja because they don't travel.

No Igbo man will write this even an Igbo APC member

When IPOB listed Rivers as one of the States in Biafra, did we get a very strong reactions from there? When he was planning his rally in Port Harcourt, was there any strong opposition?

when it suits us, we agree, when the table turns, we change the goal post
