Have you ever thought of going on an adventure to some of the most dangerous natural places on earth. Well, here is a list of dangerous places you can visit.


Ilha da Queimada Grande (Snake Island)

The Island of Snakes is located about 25 miles off the coast of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Notorious for its high density of snakes’ population, the island is the only place on Earth where the dreaded Golden Lancehead Viper lives.
There's about one deadly snake per square foot on the island, little wonder the island is closed to the the public.


Gouffre Berger

France is the home to this beautiful death trap. It is about 1.27km deep and it has a lake in it. During a storm or heavy rain, the Gouffre Berger can become a dangerous trap and the water levels rise very quickly, this has resulted in the death of many caver.


Lake Nyos



Lake Nyos is one of the deadliest Lake on the planet. The actual danger is not the water or the creatures in it. The lake, located in Cameroon, has killed over 1,740 people and 3500 livestock by the emission of about 100,000 - 300,000 tons of carbon dioxide resulting from a natural disaster called a limnic eruption.
The gas displaced the air within 25km of the lake which led to the suffocation of both people and livestock. Although, systems have been put in place to degas the lake, it still remains a disaster waiting to strike.


Darvaza Gas Crater - The Gates of Hell

Deep in the heart of the Republic of Turkmenistan lies the Hell's Gate, the crater whose diameter is 69 metres, and its depth is 30 metres was set on fire by geologist to halt the spread of methane gas into nearby towns in 1971 and has been burning for over 4 decades. You might want to be careful when you go camping.


Danakil Desert

The Danakil Desert is known for its violent temperature and volcanoes. It is situated in the afar region of northeast Ethopia bordered by southern Eritrea, and northwestern Djibouti.
The temperature during the day exceeds 50 °C which makes it extremely dangerous. Although it is home to the afar people who have managed to adapt to the harsh climatic conditions, it could be fatal for others.


Cape Denison

This is known for its fierce katabatic winds. You might want to hold tight onto something so as not to get blown away by the wind. It surely is the windiest place on the globe and it is located in earth's southern most continent (Antarctica).


Mount Everest

It is a known fact the the Everest is the most elevated surface on the earth which is about 29,000 ft high. If you are not acrophobic, you might want to check it out. Asides the height, the harsh atmospheric conditions at the top of the mountain could be fatal, as over 290 people have died trying to get to the top of the mountain.

well, going by nature, Nigeria isn't a dangerous place. I think the inhabitants made it quite dangerous
