Field Sales Rep - Software Sales coordinates technical pre-sales activities. He/she transfers industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. Assists in all levels of technical account planning and accompanies sales account managers on visits to customers.
Assists in the development of formal sales proposal and presents and differentiates product offerings at a technical level from the competition.
The Business Development Executive will also actively participate in internal specialist teams and provide consultative support in specialist areas to other Pre-sales Consultants.

Core Functions


Product presentations and demonstrations
Conduct Sales Presentations
Develop Sales Proposals
Provide Technical Sales Support
Prepare and present product demonstrations
Respond to Sales mail & Inquiry from customers
Generate Pricing Advice for prospects
Provide answers to (technical) questions in a Request for Information(RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP)
Deliver Proof of Concepts
Preparation of PID with PM for proper product handover.
Ensure the CRM is updated and the leads are properly follow up
Supports the success of an assigned team of salespeople, including Business Development Executives and other Sales Representatives.
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines.
Provides coaching and professional development to other team-member in order to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
Conduct Lead demand-generation marketing activities in the assigned market for the assigned product specialty.Eg Events that will generate sales.
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
Coordinate the customer involvement of other company personnel when needed,
Develop relationships with customers.
Assist customers with technical product support.
Support sales with technical difficulties
Create internal software requests and POC implementation plans and monitor the approval process
Prepare software order forms and all sign up forms (providing feature codes and product information)
Monitor accurate and correct delivery of software sold
Be able to position and present Information Builders product offerings
Compare Information Builders product offering at a technical level with competitive products
Build technical relationship with prospects or existing customers
Liaise with local, corporate support teams to ensure accurate and timely
resolution of technical issues that may arise during the pre-sales process
Assists with the qualification of the opportunities and/or identification of target accounts
Assists with the creation of a sales cycle plan
Assists customer, prospect and Sales Representative to build a compelling and competitive business case and ROI (Return of Investment)
Manages hand-over to the Services Functions (Post-Sales Support and Professional Services) for live project implementation
Develop relationships with customers.
Ensure that sales Target is meet.
