Nationwide Python Dance! Nigerian Army On Another Genocide Mission? by nwaanambra1(m): 2:45am On Dec 30, 2018
Why was this supposed southeastern operation launched in Maiduguri in Borno State instead of southeastern state?
Why is this operation launched nationwide?
Why is Operation python dance III launched to cover the election period despite the fact that the igbos have not been known to foment trouble during or after elections.
Of all the operations under the Nigerian Military – why is it only Egwu Eke III that was launched nationwide to cover the elections – are the Igbos now book haram?

The Nigerian security apparatus seems to be created specifically to see the Igbos as enemies of Nigeria - hence their desire to always harass, intimidate and kill Igbos at the slightest opportunity.

The entire South East can be said to be one of the safest part of Nigeria with no case of terrorism, insurgency or serious civil disobedience - and yet it is in the south east that we have the largest concentration of Nigerian security personnel. They are so large that one can rightly conclude that the concentration of security personnel in the south east is even more than areas ravaged by insurgency, terrorism and other vices.
The harassment and intimidation of Igbos in south east is so glaring that it is only in the south east that you see police check points manned by seven or eight heavily armed and intimidating police officers positioned at a distance of two(2) kilometer or less on every road in south east. These police officers extort 'taxes' on every vehicle and motorcycles that ply the roads. Each vehicle is charged based on its designation - by that, commercial buses, trucks, cars are charged specific amount based on police assumed means or income of the vehicles - commercial buses pay as much as one hundred and fifty Naira at each checkpoint and okada riders pay as much as fifty naira. Trucks and other heavy duty vehicles pay as much as five hundred or one thousand Naira depending on where the driver is from - if the driver is from the north, they often allowed him to pass free. Any person resisting payment of these levies is thoroughly dealt with - in fact most inmates in prisons in southeast are often people who resisted paying this levies - some are out rightly shot to death at the checking points to deter others from resisting the extortion.

Same scenario also applies to the military check points - which like the police, is mounted at every three or four kilometer interval. The military checkpoints are even more brutal than the police. The military don’t even expect to ask you before you give them their levy - as you are approaching them, you have to arrange the right amount to give them - if you are unfortunate to pay them less, you will be given serious corporal punishment for hours! Many citizens have collapsed and died in the course of serving those punishments and nothing happened - worst case scenario they tag the victim an IPOB or a cultist or even a kidnapper.

It is only in South East that on a stretch of ten (10) kilometer road, you will encounter checkpoints mounted by police at one point, the military at another point, civil defense at another point, road safety corps at another point and customs at another point - and the sad thing is you will settle each of the point as you pass or you become an unfortunate victim.
The above is the everyday scenario and hell the Igbos suffer in the hands of Nigeria security apparatus in the South East - it has become a part of us.

As if all these harassment and intimidation is not enough in the south East, the Nigerian military now decided extend the torture nationwide by launching Egwu Eke III nationwide to make life more hell to the Igbos at whichever part of Nigeria they are living.
The military introduced Operation Python Dance and used it to hunt down Igbo youths and kill them in numbers branding some of the innocent victims as Ipob terrorist - despite the fact the group known as Ipob has never pick up arms in their struggle for an independent igbo nation.
After killing numbers of innocent Igbo youths - running into more than two thousand in the two phases of the operation python dance, the Nigerian army has decided to use same operation to hunt down and kill more innocent igbos nationwide to discourage them from participating in the coming election.

Some readers may ask how did i arrive at this conclusion - the military design their operations to be region specific - that is, such operations are meant to be related to the people of that region - for instance, Operation Lafia Dole is meant to tackle terrorism and insurgency in North East, Operation Sharan Daji is meant to tackle livestock rustling in Northwest. Operation Crocodile Smile was meant to tackle oil pipeline vandalism in South-south. Operation Egwu Eke (aka Python Dance) was meant to tackle kidnapping, robbery and other vices in southeast - each of these operations are meant for only people of that region.

That being the case, why then is Operation Egwu Eke (aka Python Dance) which was meant to be operational only in southeast now expanded to be nationwide? Why is this nationwide operation launched to be effective from January 1 to February 28 effectively covering the period of the 2019 elections and is meant to cover all parts of the country in preparation against security challenges anticipated before, during and after the 2019 General Elections – are the military saying the igbos are a security threat to the 2019 general elections?
Based on all political pointers – which clearly showed that the igbos participated hugely in the last concluded voters registration, especial the igbos living in other parts of the country, It will be safe to conclude that this operation is launched nationwide to harass, kill, intimidate and discourage the Igbos from participating in the coming 2019 general elections. Considering the fact that the PDP fielded an Igbo vice presidential candidate, it is logical to conclude that the Igbos, living in huge numbers in various parts of Nigeria, may likely provide the swing vote that will see the PDP candidate win the 2019 elections.

The military has launched operation python dance III to make sure very few Igbos participate in the coming 2019 elections.
The silence of southeastern leaders, governors, southeastern politicians, NBA, Civil liberties organization, human rights groups, fellow Nigerians and the international community towards these frequent harassment and intimidation of the Igbos is seriously becoming worrisome – WHY IS EVERYBODY SILENT TO THESE CLEAR CASES OF ABUSE OF NDIGBO?

I wish to call on all Igbo sons and daughters to please be very watchful. This operation maybe an impending doom. Please whichever part of Nigeria you are living now be watchful, prayerful and vigilant. To those living in the north, if you can – come home and stay till after the elections – THE ELECTION IS BETWEEN TWO BROTHERS, DON’T BE DECEIVED – DON’T GET CAUGHT IN THEIR MACHINATIONS – YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT NO MATTER WHAT YOU SEE THEM SAY TO EACH OTHER, THEY ARE STILL BROTHERS – THEY WILL STILL EAT FROM SAME PLATE AND PRAY AT SAME MOSQUE.

Well-meaning Nigerians should join in calling on the Nigerian Army to call off this operation which is clearly aimed at intimidating and disfranchising people of the southeastern region from voting their candidates of choice in the 2019 elections.

NOTE THIS WRITE UP IS MY PERSONAL OPINION AND OBSERVATIONS AND IT IS INTENDED TO WARN THE IGBOS IN EVERY PART OF NIGERIA TO BE CAREFUL OF THE NIGERIAN MILITARY NEWLY LAUNCHED OPERATION PYTHON DANCE.
