Sad to say, this dream though is brought to nothingness, by the high cost of tertiary education abroad. Any hesitation and reluctance to study abroad are always in a way, linked to high cost. Anyway, though expensive, there are universities abroad, which are affordable to even the average individual. This article will throw more light on some high ranking affordable nursing universities in America for international students.

Lamar University
This is the first on our list. Came second in the U. S News and World Report rankings, and has a tuition fee of $3,120 per semester for international students, Lamar University without any doubt is among the best choices for students who want to get a nursing degree in the United States. The Lamar University Department of Nursing Program does the perfect blend of high quality and affordability. The nursing program at Lamar University prepares nursing students for life in the clinic by teaching them to provide quality healthcare and imbibing good thinking skills in them to solve daunting tasks.

The University of Nevada at Las Vegas
The second university on our list is the University of Nevada.Based in Las Vegas, University of Nevada, though not ranking as high as other ones in the U.S News and World Report Rankings, is a very good institution for international students who want to get a nursing degree abroad for an affordable tuition. The tuition per semester for Department of Nursing, University of Nevada, is $2,872 per semester. The nursing program offers students the opportunity to study and also work as well.
Stony Brook University
Stony Brook University is another university to look out for if you want a nursing degree at an affordable cost. In addition to having a low tuition fee, Stony Brook University also ranks high in the U.S News and World Report score. The tuition fee of Stony Brook University for her nursing program is $2,785 per semester. The Department of Nursing, Stony Brook University, requires her new intakes to first complete a mandatory basic program and have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.8 to qualify for her bachelor’s nursing degree. The basic program takes two years to complete.
