Wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, yesterday, welcomed the first babies of the year 2019— a male and two female child, at the Comprehensive Health Centre, Arakale, Akure.

The babies who were born at 12:05a.m, 12.25 a.m and 1:30a.m weighed 3.4kg, 3.2kg and 3.2kg respectively.

In the same vein, the First Lady welcomed two female babies and a male at the Mother and Child Hospital, Akure, in the early hours of 2019.

Anyanwu-Akeredolu who donated gift items to the parents of the babies was laced with joy and therefore advised the parents to ensure they take good care of the babies and be well educated about reproductive life.

Present at the presentation were the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro and his wife, the Secretary Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Francis Akanbiemu, Chairman, Akure South lga, Hon. Gbenga Olaniyu Michael and wife, and members of FOWOSO.
