For those postgraduate applicants applying to department of Civil Engineering. There are four options available Structures and Materials, Geotechnical Engineering, CPM and Public Health and water Engineering.

There will be exam conducted by the department for each option and the examination will be option based, the examination is not hard but make sure you revisit your undergraduate notebooks to familiarize yourself with the likely questions.

For admission it is the combination of your EPT score and the departmental examination score. You have to pass your EPT first before you can be considered for admission.

All the best for those applying and I hope to see all of you in the department.

You can send me a message if you have any question or enquiry.

Thanks boss... But I applied for Highway and Transportation Engineering option. You didn't mention that... Or is it under Geotechnical Engineering?

To those who put in for public health (REPRODUCTIVE AND FAMILY HEALTH) Sent a mail to their HOD yesterday & this was her response towards if there will be any departmental subject test after the EPT Exams

Read below:

Dear Ayodele Olatunbosun

Yes, there would be an interview conducted for prospective applicants after the English proficiency test. The Department will communicate the date for this to eligible candidates when the time comes.

The option is not available for now. If you do well in your exams you can be recommended for other options depending on your level of performance.

Richard2007, endyowoeye, loshybab, can you please give me examples of questions that will be asked in human nutrition DPT. I did a little research and found that you once applied for master's at UI, human nutrition department.

Tips on where to read, questions that can be asked in the DPT and oral interview will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It is very SIMPLE to victimize a student or co-worker if you live in Nigeria and go free with very little or no suspicion at all. If she/HE is a student, all you have to do as the lecturer or staff is to fail her/HIM in MANY courses. If possible, team up with other lecturers/staff to fail her/HIM in ALL his courses - give them very low marks. I tell you, it will be seen as "possible" for a lecturer to fail a student in ONE or two courses, but very IMPOSSIBLE for the lecturer(s) to fail the student in four (4) or SEVEN (7) courses. EXCEPT the student in question is a FEMALE of course, in that case it will be very POSSIBLE that a lecturer(s) can victimize her in ALL her courses because she might have REFUSED to give him and others "three or more ROUNDS per day" like the OAU girl. But, it is very "IMPOSSIBLE" if the student is a MALE; in that case he is DULL or truly DESERVED the poor results.

If she/he is a co-worker, hide or destroy MANY of her/his documents. It is very "possible" for someone to hide or destroy ONE or two documents belonging to another, but very IMPOSSIBLE to hide or destroy four or SEVEN (7) documents belonging to another. Therefore, you need to understand the techniques in victimizing a student or co-worker in Nigeria (Africa) - victimize her/HIM in MANY many areas, not in one or two things. This will attract very little or NO suspicion at all. In fact, the victim will be the GUILTY one, not you. Now you know how it works.

Welcome to this side of the "DARK Continent" called Nigeria where even many so-called "educated" individuals, even so-called Professors reason like DONKEYS! But, such mode of low thinking and hypocrisy only further reveals how CORRUPT, BIASED and so-called TRIBALIZED the University system is. I tell you, the fight has just begun!

As for the written departmental test, the questions asked were centred on nutritional diseases and deficiencies, Abbreviations used in Nutrition generally, definition of terms and other aspects.

As for the oral interview,I,like most applicants coming from a different Dept, were asked the relationship between your first degree discipline and the course/dept applied to.
