The corpse of a yet -to - be-identified man was on Wednesday found floating on the River Osun, around Osunjela town , near Osogbo .

Some residents of Osunjela told our correspondent that the body was discovered floating on the river early in the morning.

As of 6pm when our correspondent left the area , the corpse had yet to be removed , as people converged on a bridge to catch a glimpse of the body floating on the river .

The naked corpse was that of a man, with sources in the area suggesting that he could have drowned while taking a bath .

Neatly packed clothes , believed to belong to the deceased , were seen near the river .

When contacted , the Assistant Public Relations Officer , Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps , Osun State Command, Adigun Michael , said a team had been dispatched to evacuate the body .

He said , β€œ Our men have been there . The body is already afloat , which means he must have died many hours ago . We don’ t know anything about his identity yet.

β€œ Firefighters have been informed and we are still waiting for them . The body will be removed as soon as they get to the scene. ”

Skull mining business has really been booming for these Afonjas.

No wonder the demons are Sai babaring everywhere, as the poverty associated with their dullard promotes their skull mining business, by making skulls easily available to be mined.

You didn't read in the news recently how two young ibo men lured another igbo woman from lagos to Abia and get her killed with the aim of selling her body parts to an igbo herbalist for ritual purpose? There are more Ritualists in SE than SW today.
The concentration of different media houses in the SW is the only reason you read about ritualism in SW often in the news.

It's not true.
Every tribe has what it's known for when it comes to issue of crime.
You guys are known for mining, probably because you are emotionally attached to human parts..

The ones we are seeing on nairaland are the ones being reported, what of the ones that are happening right now that you are not even aware of. ?

For your info... The reported skull mining are less than the unreported ones....The media is not even trying their best in reporting the atrocities you guys are committing in that enclave....
We are only hearing the few reported ones.
Travel to Osun or Ogun, trust me, you will never move around without your helmet..

we can debate which region/tribe indulges in ritual acts most, but we can't deny the facts that ritualists exist in every Nigeria tribe and region.
