2019 Elections: CAN Declares Jan 10, Day Of National Prayer by Muttee: 7:28pm On Jan 05, 2019

The Christian Association of Nigeria has declared January 10, 2019, a national day of prayers for peaceful, free, fair and credible election in the country and for freedom for Leah Sharibu and others in Boko Haram captivity.

It directed churches nationwide to observe prayers between 11am and 2pm against violence, manipulation, intimidation of voters and other electoral crimes.

The media aide to CAN President, Pastor Bayo Oladeji, said in a statement in Abuja on Saturday, that Christian politicians especially those contesting for offices during the elections, all Christian groups or organisations and all stakeholders were encouraged to participate in the programme.

CAN also urged all Christian groups, denominations, church and block leaders of CAN or their representatives to assemble at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, on January 10 for the important prayer meeting.

It said, “All Christian candidates for all the elective offices or their representatives are also invited as they will be prayed for to be good Ambassadors of Christ before, during and after the election.

“CAN asks all state chairmen and all denominational leaders to organize similar programme and Christian candidates who could not make it to Abuja, especially those who are contesting for state assembly or positions of Governor to attend the one being organised at the state level.”

The statement added that the faithful were to pray for “all Christians contesting one post or the other for the will of God to be done concerning their ambition; That the powerful in our nation will not be able to manipulate the election and edge them out.”

It further asked them to pray for violence-free elections, and that God should stop all groups behind the killings in Nigeria and their financiers.

Upon all the prayers and religious houses, this country is more backward than ever. The leaders are corrupt and wicked, same with the citizens.

Countries that are far less religious, are doing better off with good standard of living and robust economy.

Well, God Almighty can't be mocked.

We will also pray that Buhari accepts his imminent defeat in good faith.

Any plan made by wicked politicians to shed the blood of innocent Nigerians during the forthcoming elections will not have success.

Buhari To Grant Late Gov Ambrose Ali Pardon: He Was Jailed 130 Years. Court Cleared Him of all Charges. He came out Blind and died shortly. Was A Teacher & As a Governor Had No House Where His body was laid.

Read carefully.

Ena Ofugara Wrote: -

AMBROSE ALLI IS THE ONE TO GRANT THIS MONSTER PARDON.
Buhari jails a man in the cruelest of conditions, a man who as governor built two universities (AAU, Abraka) at least two colleges of education, over 100 secondary schools, a man who gave us rice, notebook and pencils in primary school, something Buhari as two-time president, one time governor, MD NNPC, etc etc can never ever ever ever ever achieve... A man who unlike Buhari, was bold enough to publicly declare his asset and which was ONE UNCOMPLETED STORY BUILDING, Buhari kills him by denying him treatment in jail
This is a professor jailed by a Buhari that forged WAEC result before our very eyes on Premium Times
This is a man that has touched the life of almost all former Bendelites with his developmental strides again including building schools, something Buhari has never done in this life (Book is haram forbidden)
Buhari jails a good man and refuses this prisoner healthcare
As hypertension, glaucoma etc etc renders Ambrose Folorunsho Alli BLIND
IBB releases him from prison
But then already too late
Ambrose Alli dies shortly after
A thief in the eyes of the TRIBUNAL (not law court. No decent one will convict Alli)
And this murderer comes today to say he wants to grant Alli presidential pardon?
Alli's wife and kids do not live here anymore. They want nothing to do with Nigeria
Dele Alli, his relative plays for Tottenham and England and played AGAINST Nigeria.
Alli's wife swore she would have nothing to do with this country anymore.
Buhari, it is you that need their pardon
Keep your effing pardon. Ambrose Alli and Ogbemudia have already shown us what good governors and leaders are. You are a pale comparison.
Pssst, first get your WAEC result and then come and pardon a professor. And while at it, declare your asset publicly like Alli did let us know who is the thief. And show us the schools you Buhari built as governor of all
where Boko Haram controls now.
We who are old enough to... we remember. Ambrose Alli, Lateef Jakande, Ogbemudia...we know the best governors of all time. May God continue to keep Ambrose Alli in his eternal embrace and his name from the lips of those who caused his death. - Ena Ofugara.

Buhari has a soft spot for dead people. He appoints them into his cabinet. He gives them awards and he now grants them pardon. The funniest part is that he kills the living so that he will have more dead people to romance with.

Again like I said before Buhari always interferes anytime there is any good thing that wants to come to our country Nigeria.
Look what Buhari did to Shagari look what he have done to our country after all the economic achievement of the previous Governments of Goodluck Jonothan.
Professor Ambrose Ali,Dede Sam Mbakwe,Lateef Jakonde,These great men were the best performing governors at that time before Buhari came to stop them,Honestly, Posterity will never forgive Buhari. I advise Nigerians to go back to history and study the regime of the ruthless Buhari in 1984- 85. They will surely distance themselves from this vicious dictator, unfortunately the apc did used the gullible and ignorant youthful population, who knew nothing about the history of Buhari to win the election in 2015. Progressive Nigerians, Say no to Buhari's Re election in 2019.

Keep sharing people needs to be educated.

We pray alot and also worse if not worst in all bad things of life. Being a Nigeria is like a cu*se. We support bad leaders and bad things. Prayers have never helped us as a nation,we need proper orientation and live life like normal human beings.

Lol. Because they are against this evil government now.

P.S. APC caused this stuff. Their campaign in 2015 was based on falsehood, slandering, tribal and religious bias.

I haven't seen any of their activities that support pdp and I don't support any religious body being political.

But Nigeria politics is the way it is today. We have divided ourselves by playing politics of lies, tribe and religion. Most SEasterner will likely choose pdp rather than APC if asked to pick any of the two devils, while the Swesterner will likely pick APC, when he knows they aren't any better than PDP.

Truth is, we need to reset our political orientation and style.

As for me, i can't support anything APC

May God deliver CAN?.Why should the members of CAN be visiting government houses ?Why are they endorsing politicians?
So sad that a state Chairman of CAN had to anoint a politician with olive oil at a shrine.God has to forgive us for dragging His image through the mud because of money
