Fanfare indeed embraced Conviviality as citizens of Ebenator Ozulogu Ancient Kingdom in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State under the umbrella of Ebenator Concerned Citizens had their first historic get together amidst jubilation and fanfare.
This first-of-its-kind gathering which took place at the Morale Promotion Club, Ebenator attracted concerned sons and daughters of the community who have distinguished themselves in various fields of endeavours, who came from both within and outside the country to witness the occasion.
In an address of welcome presented at the event, the forum, popularly known as E.C.C was described as a non partisan coterie that unites the patriotic citizens of Ebenator Ozulogu who are dearly concerned about the affairs of the community and who are ready to give their best for her overall development and progress. The group was said to have started as a Facebook platform where the citizens air and discuss their views on the affairs of the community, have fun, get the latest news on the happenings in the community as well get enlightened on the origin, culture and traditions of our great community.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Chief Calistus Ofaraka (Dim Ugwunne) who anchored his speech on development of the town reminded the attendees that it was only a citizens who is concerned that can show interest in the affairs of his or her community and care about what goes on therein. He then called on the sons and daughters of Ebenator Ozulogu Ancient Kingdom to patriotically join hands and make their own individual and collective inputs towards championing development of the community.
The event featured introduction and familiarization, award giving and special recognitions, suggestions for enhancing the growth of the forum and the community, reading of communiqué from Ebenator Students' Union by Comrade Onyema Ezenwa, dancing among others.
The event was equally used to recognize some members of the group who have registered unrelenting effort in piloting the affairs of the group, among who were: Hon. Chukwudi Unogu (the founder of the forum), Mr. Austin Uchenna Egwuatu, Mr. Obinna Obiekezie, Mr. Benjamin Nnabude, Mr. Chidiebere Ojiego, Mr. Lucky Ezeh, Mr. Ifenna Igwenatu, JohnPaul Ebubedike, Izunna Okafor among others.
