We have seen all the signs written on cigarette packets scream at us that smoking is injurious to health, but none of the smokers seems to care. When we smoke a cigarette, a substance known as nicotine is produced which rapidly travels to the brain and produces chemical. All forms of tobacco are dangerous to health and produce the chemical, dopamine, making your brain crave more and more nicotine.
It can be really difficult for someone to quit smoking as it is an addiction which is not easily given up. Fortunately, there are some foods which can help flush the nicotine out of the body and cleanse it of the toxins.
Apples
Apples are one of the most nutritious fruits out there. It is loaded with a variety of nutrients, vitamins, flavonoids, antioxidants and Vitamin C which can help us combat lung diseases.

Garlic
Garlic, a detoxification food is helped to reduce nicotine inside the lungs. It can also be used to reduce the fat inside your blood. The antibiotic properties of garlic also help clean the toxins out of our immune system. It also allows the production of detoxification enzyme inside our body which can filter the nicotine from the system.
Pomegranate
Pomegranate is high in antioxidants and helps in blood circulation and it increases the blood cell count as well. This juicy fruit can also decrease the amount of nicotine in your body. You can just simply eat it or drink it as per your choice.
Carrot
With each smoke, you breathe in nicotine and that stay for approximately 3 days in your body. It can damage your skin and other organs, which is why including carrot in your diet is important. It also contains vitamin A, C, K and B – all of which can help you recuperate your health and reduce the amount of nicotine inside your body.
Broccoli
Broccoli is rich in vitamin C and B5, eating it can help you obtain vitamin C which reduces during smoking. Eating it can eliminate the presence of nicotine from your body. Other cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, kale, turnips and cabbage can also help with reducing the effects of nicotine from the body.
Green Tea
Green tea provides passive smokers with the maximum amount of antioxidant, catechin majorly. It can also help improve the liver’s function. It also reduces cholesterol levels and inflammation. Moreover, it detoxifies the body of the nicotine and protects you from getting sick.
