It seems Beat FM Lagos presenters have all banned R. Kelly's songs from their shows. According to a Twitter user, OAP Osi Suave snubbed his request for an R. Kelly song to mark the singers 52nd birthday. Well, OAP Toolz who is currently in the UK nursing her new baby, replied the Twitter user saying she'd also not play his songs if she were on air. The guy wrote; "@Osi_Suave & his nascent female presenters spitefully snubbed my request to dem to air som @rkelly's jamz earlier today on #MorningRush in d lite of his 52nd Birthday. Dis is wat @MariaOkan & @ToolzO will not do, reason y d two Divas still remain my best at d Beat." Toolz replied; "I wouldn't play any R.Kelly if I was on air now" https://www.amagitesblog.com/2019/01/beat-fm-lagos-presenters-ban-r-kellys-songs-from-their-shows.html Cc; Lalasticlala 1 Share

Good for them. This needs to be station policy though, & not exercised at the whim of individual presenters because of the potential of public backlash from those who perpetuate & benefit from patriarchy. Other stations & people are already experiencing online abuse for supporting #MuteRKelly. SABC (South Africa) is seriously considering an R Kelly blackout throughout its 15+ radio stations due to immense public pressure. However, his music sales & streaming is currently experiencing a sharp spike from his die-hard supporters. It's a catch22 for commercially driven broadcasters. Doomed if they do, doomed if they don't. They have to take the moral high-ground though. R Kelly is gross 3 Likes 1 Share |

Nigeria is really the low IQ capital of the world. Dumb populace, dumb leaders. This is what is called trying to belong. |
