Kwara State Government responsible for political violence, KMC allege …..Calls on FG to pay more attention The leading Pro-Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change (KMC) has accused the Kwara State government of being behind the political violence in the state, as it called on the Federal Government to pay more attention to the happenings in Kwara before the situation goes out of hand. Kwara Must Change, in a statement by its state coordinator, Mr Yusuf Olatunji stated that, the increasing political violence in the state calls for concern, as it condemned all forms of state sponsored violence that has become reoccurring in the state. According to Mr Yusuf, ‘’political violence in the state started immediately after the All Progressive Congress APC) won the By-election in Kwara South’’. Mr Yusuf recalled that after the victory of Honourable Abdulraheem Ajulo Opin during the by election in Irepodun, Ekiti, Oke-Ero and Isin Federal constituency, violence was unleashed on the APC Governorship candidate, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and his entourage while on their way back to Ilorin. According to him, the failure of government to bring to book, those who carried out such dastardly act has encouraged other forms of violence against members of the general public. Kwara Must Change also noted that, when the state government, without any justifiable reason, attempted to stop the opposition from using its legitimate slogan ‘’O TO GE’’, which literally mean, ‘’Enough is Enough’’, it started another round of political violence, which should not have been so. Mr Yusuf explained that, ‘’the government went as far claiming that the Emir of Ilorin wrote a petition against the slogan, a claim promptly disputed by the revered emir and till this day, Kwara State government has not relented on its efforts to unduly exploit its power over law abiding citizens, who are members of the opposition party ’’. Additionally, ‘’Having failed to stop the use of the ‘’otoge’’ slogan, political thugs allegedly loyal to the state government destroyed all opposition billboards across the state and those responsible for this are yet to be apprehended’ ’’Even after the opposition erected new billboards, the new billboards were also burnt across the state, adding that all these predates the violent attacks that occurred today, in which some lives were reportedly lost’’, it said. The group condemned all these attacks and called on the federal government to quickly pay attention to what is happening in Kwara State before the situation goes out of hand. Additionally, ‘’Having failed to stop the use of the ‘’otoge’’ slogan,Kwara and Kogi states should get their acts TOGETHER ASAP please. They are not the only states in Nigeria. We are on the path of moving to the NEXT LEVEL. They should not be left behind. Vote for the good candidates that have the interest of the state citizen just as Ekiti state people voted for a good governor in Fayemi. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Can you tell me any pacesetter achievements of Bukola that can attract envy? Here are facts you can't dispute: 1. Saraki graduated from London University Medical College in 1987. 2. A year after graduation, he spent a year as a medical trainee at Rush Green Hospital in UK from where he jumped to become a director of SG bank, a family bank. 3. 2 years after, he was appointed special assistant without experience in compensation to his father for his effort to join in killing the hope to realize June 12. 4. In 2003, Bukola was smuggled into Kwara politics by his father who was not satisfy with the posture of Muhamadu Lawal that refused to handover the key to Kwara State treasury to him. 5. With the help of Atiku, the current PDP presidential candidate who used federal might to suppressed the will of innocent people of Kwara and the help of few of our people who were deceived to believe that Lawal was more of western than northern. 6. In 2003, Lawal was booted out, Saraki succeeded. 8 years after, majority of Kwarans realised their mistakes in waging war against innocent Lawal who struggle hard to protect the interest of his people. It was too late to make correction. 7. Within 8 years in power, Saraki destroyed our state, he empty our treasury. Our people loss their senses of humanity and self-esteem. Our fathers and mothers cannot look straight into Saraki's eyes to talk. He sets fear into their minds. Our youths that need job were empowered with arms and ammunition to intimidate political opponents instead of helping them to build a career. 8. In 2011, Saraki gave to us Abdul Fatai who was his financial commissioner for 6 years and and 2 years as commissioner for economic and development. We can tell the story without sentiments, what 8 years of Saraki, and that of Abdul Fatai means to Kwara State in terms of development. Let us look at other states to disagree with this fact. 9. In continuation of Saraki's terrorist attacks on innocent people of Kwara, they are rewarding us with Atunwa who was the speaker house of kwara house of assembly, commisioner for land and housing, commisioner for works and transportation, commisioner of finance and currently a member of house of representatives to continue his legacy in the same way Fatai did in the last 7 years. 10. Saraki stole from his sister to become the senator in 2011. He colluded with opposition to steal the mandate of his party. He worked against the interest of thr good people of Nigeria for personal gain. These are the indisputable legacy of Saraki 11. The good people of Kwara State are ready to pay him back. And by the special grace of God, he will be smuggle out of Kwara State in the same way they smuggled him to become the governor in 2003. 12. If there is any Saraki's apologist who want to disagree with my position above, I'm ready to begin shouting oloye with you with an impressive list of Saraki/Fatai achievements in the last 16 years. Until then, I remain a proud Buhari apologist and stay put with AbdulRasaq to send back Saraki to where they smuggled him to Kwara State in 2003. I say it loud and clear that there is nothing to be envy about in Saraki's profile or achievements Saraki is devil enough is enough 5 Likes |

We know Saraki went to beat up his people just to attract sympathy APC won the last election And has been peacefully conducting our "oto ge " activities. I wonder why we want to disrupt that fine run with violence. 1 Like |

Just when we thought the era of violent politics has gone in my dear town (Ilorin), some people are still taking us back to the bad old days. Let us all know that no matter how bad it gets, we cannot have a direct benefit from this generation of politicians and their families! Don't be their "collateral damage"! It does not worth it, they (Politicians) don't deserve it! Ask yourself why you didn't get that good education? Ask yourself why you dropped out of school because of school fees? Ask yourself why you can't get a job even after graduation? Ask yourself where their children are? Go to the Airport, their private Jets are at the Hanger, anytime they are done destroying you, they will go away only to come back occasionally! Think my people, think! Don't be deceived by their crocodile tears, don't be deceived by their sweet words, don't fall for the big grammars, you can be better than them. It is just a matter of time and concentration! Say no to violence!!! |
