This is d reason I said it is contradictory. At first u said "Traffic in Lagos is not caused by pot holes or weak lastma". But at d end of ur statement u said traffic is caused by potholes that appear on d road as a result of flood from bad drains.

It is caused by urbanisation. D population is growing fast aided mainly by migration. And more& more people in lagos are owning cars. So we have more cars than roads 2 drive them on. U are talking of d reason y there are potholes not d reason 4 traffic. Potholes do affect flow of traffic that's true just like any impediment like a broken down vehicles. I grew up in Benin city. There's a road called ring road. When we were growing up, u could never c traffic there. As of today especially in d evenings, it becomes chaotic. There's no pothole on d road. Same can b said of ekenwan road. Let's look at traffic hotspots in Lagos on d island which am familiar with. Are u familiar with ikoyi roundabout? Are there any potholes on d that road that cause traffic? Let's look at lekki expressway in d morning and in d evenings. If u coming from ajah facing lekki in d morning, sometimes traffic can stretch from ikota to jakande first gate. Are there any potholes on that road? During rush hour in d evening, sometimes u will c traffic stretching from eleganza to VGC. There are no potholes on d road. On d same stretch of road, during rush hour in d evenings & at night, u will c traffic stretch from marwa to jakande 2nd gate. There's no pothole on d road. Again, 3rd mainland bridge 4 those coming from mainland to island in d morning and 4 going 2d mainland from island in d evening. Its hell. Is there pothole on d road? In ur spare time, drive on these roads on Sunday morning & c how free traffic will b. D reason 4 all this is like I said earlier a result of d number of cars that now ply our roads due 2 expanding population.
