#Didyouknow
Did you know a Daura has governed Bayelsa before?
Commissioner of police Habu Daura was military administrator of Bayelsa 7th June 1996- 27th June 1997.
You'd notice one of the 3 major tribes in Nigeria.... Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo has ruled Bayelsa before..basically everyone except an actual southerner.
Let's assume there was no southerner in the military at that time, even though we all know that is a lie.
People are always quick to say Bayelsa is a small state with a lot of oil money and it should be a lot more developed than it is by now, well it would have if we actually handled our resources ourselves 1/4 as long as other states have.
If you've ever been to Yenagoa and seen anything beautiful there's a 90% chance it was built by Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, the first indigenous head between 1999-2005.
Finally someone who had a heart for his own people was in charge and not just someone there to loot and take back to his own state.
You can imagine he'd have a lot of enemies by refusing to the business as usual #LootBayelsaAndDevelopMyHometown. It's always the good people who are victimized and oppressed in this life and people will just sit in their comfortable chairs in well developed states, breathing soothe free air... all of these mostly attained from oil money taken from the south and believe all the horseshit the media feeds them.
Since Alamieyeseiigha died the next working Governor who has done anything note worthy is Dickson so there was a gap of ineptitude between 2005-2012 when he got elected.
Who was the first military administrator of Lagos and Rivers state? Indigenes! Mobolaji Johnson and Dettie-Spiff respectively. Could that be why they are the biggest cities in Nigeria? yes, that and they've been ruled by Indigenes far more...
N.B we love Abacha in Bayelsa and there's a major road named after him because he gave us the state out of Rivers where we were highly sidelined not minding that the first oil well ever.. Ologbiri oil well was was drilled in the Bayelsa part of the old Rivers State.
