The wife of the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Lagos State , Dr Ibijoke Sanwo - Olu , has said if elected , her husband will employ the expertise of retired medical practitioners to achieve efficient health care delivery in the state . Sanwo -Olu said improved health care would be a major programme her husband would focus on , adding that the experience of retired medical workers would be harnessed to solve the challenges facing health care delivery system in the state .


She spoke on Monday while receiving various women support groups at the Babajide Sanwo - Olu Campaign Office in Ikoyi .


Sanwo -Olu , who was joined by the wife of her husband ’s running mate , Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, appreciated the women for engaging in a door -to -door campaign on behalf of their husbands while reassuring them that the support would be reciprocated with good governance .


She said , “Tackling poverty at the grass roots is one of the things Sanwo -Olu is coming to do . The one that concerns women the most is the issue of health care . While health care delivery has improved, there are many challenges to be solved . We are going to engage retirees who have decades of experience in health management ,as they do in Germany.


These people can help solve most of the challenges we face.” The Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation supervisor, Mrs Pat Tekoboh , said the group was ready to mobilise voters for the election of the APC candidate at the polls .


She urged the candidate , Babajide Sanwo -Olu , to appoint women in key areas if elected .

Grandpa's that u are saying will kill patients, for me are better off than those "fresh" graduates u are talking about .. cos the educational system, in the 70's is far better than what we have today, when the educational system ,is in total anarchy, the lecturers in our universities are no longer top notch, like the one they had those days,the university itself has lost its quality ..unlike before when it used to be merit , u now have unqualified people gaining admission ,and graduating as medical students. Cos the money dey dia hand....I quite disagree with the Sanwo-olu's wife tho cos she should be working on improving the medical schools we have in Lagos , other than getting retirees to take over , cos if they all die what will happen to the healthcare system , that is an evidence that politicians have no plan for the future..
