Do you know we can make a difference as youths? You have not thought about it? Are you serious? Then you must be kidding.
We can seriously make Nigeria better. This is our country. John F Kennedy said "think not of what your country can do for you but think of what you can do for your country." I agree that Nigeria has not fulfilled her part of the social contract so we do not feel obligated to fulfil ours but come to think of it. Is it the country or the people in the country that make a country better? Is it the name or the person bearing the name that matters?
This is Nigeria, elections are "do or die" in Obasanjo's voice. But who commit the electoral crimes? Who are the thugs? Who inflict violence on people? Who carry the guns? Must we be used a thugs every election season. Is that our contribution? The candidate that uses you as a thug has kept his children abroad. So you do no know? Haba! His children are abroad going to the best schools while ours are on strike, driving on the best roads while ours are bedevilled with pot holes. That politician you want to die for goes abroad for vacation while you go to the village for that same vacation. The place he enjoys his vacation has constant electricity, good security, good roads and he enjoys himself. Well just compare that place to your own village which is your vacation spot. The difference is clear isn't it?
"Use your brain do better thing" as they say please. I beg you, must you use a girl's pant for rituals? "Pata nii logo benz abi?" So that is the only thing you can think of to make money. What if that girl was your sister? O! I am sorry. It is even your sister's pant that you used. Or may be it is your mother's or your grand mother's but it does not make it right. Can you use yourself? Sorry again. Probably you used something that belongs to you but does it make it right?
The world's richest did not use 'pata' to buy benz you know. They used their brains to invent things that we are all proud of.
'Ehen' young lady, are you a commodity? Why do you think that every thing revolves around sex? You have brains right. "Use am do better thing." You must not use your body as a bargaining tool you know. It will not take you far.
We have another generation coming after us. We are going to be fathers and mothers some day. And as for those that are there already, congratulations. We have a duty to make Nigeria better for us and the generation coming after us.
This is Nigeria, let us make it better.
