Obasanjo And His Tactics/strategies Exposed!! by onyinyechi94: 11:17am On Jan 24, 2019
Obasanjo claimed the Federal Government would attempt to rig the elections in February. It’s ironic that Obasanjo would talk about a government that has never conducted an election rigging an election. It simply shows that Obasanjo and the PDP already suspect that they stand no chance of winning in the upcoming elections and are attempting to form the foundation of their argument when they lose which will be THE ELECTION WAS RIGGED, WE ALREADY TOLD YOU THAT’S WHAT THEY WOULD DO.
Obasanjo also, has no moral standing to talk about a government rigging an election because he is suspected to be very notorious in rigging. He was also famously quoted as saying the 2007 elections would be a “do or die affair” for himself and the PDP. The 2007 election was recorded as the most fraudulent election in Africa and the INEC Chairman was Maurice Iwu, who was personally handpicked by Obasanjo’s close assistant Andy Uba. In fact, it was during Obasanjo’s era that we heard the most bizzare stories about election rigging, the number of votes in an area being three times more than the number of voters in that same area, stealing of ballot boxes etc.

• Obasanjo claimed we are now in an Abacha era. Abacha’s era was characterized by infringements on fundamental human rights and Obasanjo’s regime has been the only regime that has mirrored Abacha’s regime closely, arguably even more. During Obasanjo’s regime, he committed uncountable violations on human rights such as when he sent soldiers to the Senate President’s house to seize the mace, quarantined his house so he couldn’t leave, and no one could come in, Obasanjo also once locked up the Anambra State governor in a toilet, he introduced Nigeria to Ghana must go bags and he removed three Senators unconstitutionally. Contesting for a third goes against the Nigerian constitution. Obasanjo knew this and still attempted to contest for a 3rd term, going as far as bribing senators with N50m each, and went on to deny his involvement when the scandal broke. He even removed Ladoja and declared an illegitimate state of emergency in Ekiti. Obasanjo’s crimes if listed would easily surpass those of Abacha but the reason he did not receive as much backlash or media attention as Abacha was because Obasanjo received a lot of international credit for being a civilian governor who handed over to a military government in 1979. He was later imprisoned by Abacha and when Abiola took over from Abacha, he released Obasanjo and pushed him forward to placate the Yoruba people. Since the international community had publicly endorsed Obasanjo, they did not want to give his atrocities much attention to avoid receiving a backlash for supporting a tyrant. Obasanjo does not have a loyal bone in his body; he has betrayed countless people in pursuit of his self-interest (which is the only form of interest he has). His betrayal of Charles Taylor was publicly witnessed- Charles Taylor was a Liberian leader who was overthrown and subsequently declared wanted by the International Criminal Court. He was offered asylum by Obasanjo. Charles Taylor accepted and was under house arrest in CrossRiver State but Obasanjo’s asylum offer was just his way of trapping Taylor, so he could be picked up by the ICC. Taylor’s willingness to accept Obasanjo’s asylum offer would suggest that the two had a close personal relationship but Obasanjo betrayed him just like he worked against Abiola, Awolowo, and is now working against Osinbajo (Awolowo’s in-law) because he wants remain Nigeria’s only Yoruba President and he suspects Buhari will hand over to Osinbajo eventually. He even reported his own VP, Atiku to the US government.
• Obasanjo claimed the Federal Government is funding Boko Haram which is ridiculous because the only Federal Government that existed when Boko Haram was formed was a PDP government and BH controlled 14 territories until Buhari all but demolished BH, now they control ZERO territories and Buhari is even more committed to wiping them out completely. If Obasanjo is so sure about this claim, he should name names.
