All democracy loving Nigerians have to stand up and condemn this brazen act of impunity, for God sake, what if other former PDP presidents had acted that way, what would have been the state of our nation? I also call on other legal luminaries to shed more light on the way forward |

Which cake? Did Onnoghen declared those 5 accounts? Are you aware another $3m has just been found in other accounts.. The timing may be wrong but if the head is rotten, other part of the body would follow join. |

I beg your pardon sir, it is not about morality but about the constitutionality of the acts of the president. For crying out loud, he is the head of the executive arm of government, what stops the president from carrying out a thorough investigating before installing Onnoghen? Mind you the crime for which Justice ONOGHEN is being accused of is an error that existed since 2016, and also remember that he is not being tried for the money in the account but for the fact that he did not declare the account in his asset declaration form. We are all Nigerians, let's tell ourselves the truth, the action or Mr president is wrong and has the capacity to set the nation on fire. You can't have two CJN in one nation helinues: |

What I'm yet to understand, is it that we now have 2 CJN in the country?? Going by the fact that we now have an unconstitutional CJN, installed by Mr Buhary |

wise0ne: Justice Onnoghen Remains Nigeria's, Chief Justice. - NJC. Officials of the Nigeria Justice Commission (NJC) has reacted to the alleged suspension of the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Walter Onnoghen by President Buhari stating that the action is of no effect to the hierarchy of the Nigerian Judiciary headed by Justice Onnonghen. "The President is aware of the limitation of his constitutional powers as relates to the suspension, sacking and appointment of a chief Justices". The actions of Mr President should be disregarded by Nigerians and the International community as it is of no effect". |

helinues: Oga shut up your mouth...shut it! If 3 million dollars was indeed found in his possession, buhari ought to lobby the NJC to take him out not try to over rule the judiciary which is itself a separate arm or government. Answer this why didn't buhari and the security operatives swoop down on gandollars? It was because he had immunity and has no business with the executive arm of government. Only the KSHOA could oust him. Same way if justice Onnohhen is guilty of the said offence, it's not buhari's position to SUSPEND him he doesn't have the right to only the NJC does! This is not about APC nor PDP but this is about our democracy and precedences as this portend dangers to our nation. Why don't you kill a man who offended you but rather you let the law and courts run its due course? This is Because we have and are guided by a constitution without which our country won't even exist! Now we have a duly recognized CJN and a CJB (chief justice of Buhari) and you know the one who really holds sway. For the first time in history our constitution is in doubt and the very Fibre of our democracy is in tatters all because one man can't wait to have a judiciary which would uphold his rigged elections 1 Like |
