i think the Bible (Deuteronomy - when God was telling the Israelites all the do's and don'ts) said something against sex during mentruation,
the Bible sees the woman as "ceremonially unclean" during her menses; and any man that's gets jiggy wit ha during this period is basically unclean as well,
