I am still wondering why there are no resignations by Internal Security officers responsible for the vetting of National officers. From Ministers in NYSC scandals (or working in the Civil Service as National Service) to a Judicial Officer who apparently filled the correct BVN on Asset Declaration forms, but "forgot" to include the foreign currency bank accounts (as alleged).
An Agency is actually tasked with this and someone was PAID from public funds to carry out this task. To imagine that some of these National officers had been Commissioners or had served in a position that required such investigation previously is shameful. Nigerians get to be in a quagmire because of forms filled over a year ago and vetted by someone who didnt look into the financial aspect as well as he/she should.

Thank you, this has always been my anger with the Nigerian system and buhari's government most especially. What is happening to vetting public officers?

Onnoghen doesn't count.
If the APC/ Presidency feel they are up to the task, they should reject his resignation and conclude his trial.
