Nobody is against the fight against corruption. If he derseves to be jailed, so be it because nobody is above the law. The process of appointing the acting CJN is the issue here, regardless of where he hails from or his religious affiliation, hope you got that...

NEW ACTING CJN HAS COMMITTED AN OFFENCE UNDER THE CODE OF CONDUCT ACT
The new Acting CJN has proceeded in error and illegality.Has Acting CJN complied with section 290 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria( as amended) For avoidance, section 290 provides thus:-"290. (1) A person appointed to any judicial office shall not begin to perform the functions of that office until he has declared his assets and liabilities as prescribed under this Constitution and has subsequently taken and subscribed the Oath of Allegiance and the Judicial Oath prescribed in the seventh Schedule to this Constitution."While Tanko has taken oath of office, he has not declared his assets as required by section 290 of the constitution, yet he has performed a function of the office he occupies.Failure to declare his assets and liabilities in accordance with the law is misconduct. At least that is the offence Justice Onoghen is facing before the CCT---

Tanko began his career in 1982, after he was Call to the bar in 1981, the same year he graduated from the Nigerian Law School. In 1989, he was appointed as Chief Magistrate of the High Court of Federal Capital Territory, a position he held till 1991 when he became a Judge at the Bauchi State Sharia Court of Appeal. He served in that capacity for two years before he was appointed to the bench of the Nigerian courts of appeal as Justice in 1993. He held this position for thirteen years before he was appointed to the bench of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2006 but was sworn in on January 7, 2007.

Don't mind them, one senior wailer showed me the video today with the same claim and I was amazed at his sheer ignorance/idiocy despite all the information available in the public domain.

1. The new CJN was called to bar in 1981 after graduating from the Nigerian Law School.

2. He was appointed Chief Magistrate in the FCT High Court in 1989 where he served for 2 years (not Sharia court, but they won't mention this).

3. He was sent to the Sharia Court of Appeal (Bauchi) in 1991 where he served for ONLY TWO (2) YEARS before he was appointed as a Justice of the Court of Appeal (again, not Sharia court) where he served for THIRTEEN (13) YEARS on the bench...before being sworn in as a Justice of the Supreme Court in 2007(again, not Sharia Court) where he has served the country for the last TWELVE (12) YEARS.

The new CJN is more than qualified to hold that office regardless of whatever some disgruntled semi-literate ignorant folks say...and he will remain in that office until Onnoghen is able to clear his soiled name if ever.

P.S The way the "lawyer" in the video was wailing and screaming like a suffering piglet was enough indication that his rants would end up being as irrational & nonsensical as they did
