National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has warned Western countries to stay away from Nigeria’s internal affairs.

Oshiomhole’s warning is coming barely few days after President Muhammadu Buhari had also given a similar warning to the powerful nations not to unduly interfere in the country’s internal affairs.

Speaking to State House Correspondents on Monday night at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Oshiomhole said that Nigeria was not a colony, but an independent country with the capacity to deal with its political and economic issues.

Oshiomhole was responding to the admonishments to the Federal Government by the United States, United Kingdom and European Union Election Observer Mission, over President Buhari’s suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen. According to Oshiomhole, such unnecessary interference from foreign powers remains unacceptable.
