Two students of Lagos State University, College of Medicine (LASUCOM) has been selected for the 2019 Arts in Medicine Fellowship on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Inaugural ceremony held at Sickle cell Foundation, Lagos.

The students are Faweya Benny Oluwaseun; a 400 level Medical student, and Odu Abiodun; a 500 level Dental student of LASUCOM

The Arts in Medicine Fellowship, which is a multidisciplinary field which seeks to transform the health care through arts was founded by Mr Kunle Adewale, the CEO/Creative Director Tender Arts Nigeria.

Members of the fellowship are doctors, nurses, dentists, occupational therapists, clinical pychologists, dancers, musicians, story tellers, writers, poets and painters and other clinicians, from Lagos, Abeokuta and Ibadan.

In attendance at the Inaugural ceremony, themed: The Future of Health through the Lens of Arts, are Achenyo Idachaba-Obaro; Founder Mitimeth, Dr. Moshudat Bello-Majeed; Director Child and Adolescent Mental Health service center, Oyindamola Fakeye; Founder Sound Mind Africa and Dotun Popoola; Renowned Sculptor and painter.
