op , that peter rufai's nickname origin is not correct if i must say, from the horse's mouth , he was already known among super eagles' team mate as ' dodo ' due to his love for fried plantain . however , while in training camp in portugal for an international engagement circa 1992 -'94 ,the locals who throng their base to watch them in training took to the nigerian goalie 'cos of his countless supelative displays . so when one of his teammates called out to him after training , by saying ' dodo ' his adoring portuguese fans were saying ' mayana ' meaning tommorow as in 'let's do this again tomorrow ' ! hope this helps ?
