China gives loans to countries and hope they don't pay back, so it takes over their assets. Sri Lanka, Greece, Djoubuti, Maldives etc have already gone down that road.

USA doesnt want China to take over Venezuela's assets cos that country owns China at least $35B.

Russia is also struggling to get a deal and protect its investments and loans before Venezuela defaults.

Na dog-eat-dog matter at the moment

It’s not only China;Uk , France and USA also give those loan in form of Aids and use that opportunity to control the government in that country . Problem in Libya, Egypt and Dr Congo are good examples

It's getting interesting.
Let's see how Trump's US+Europe will play against Russia+China. cheesy
Venezuela is in the U.S. backyard, there is absolutely nothing Russia and China can do. At the end,the Eastern Bloc would reach agreements with the U.S on it's own interests and not Venezuela's. Maduro would be the biggest loser in all this if he doesn't leave quietly.

Loan trap foreign policy is different from Aid to manipulate. China now runs the biggest ports in Greece and Sri Lanka. Unregulated scooping of Venezuela's oil in exchange for loans. More countries are out there. Even Naija go soon enter.

But sha, the koko be say, USA no want China to do same in Venezuela.

Russia mines Venezuela's gold and Turkey refines same...Wonder why both countries and China are against opposition taking over? grin

And Buhari's APC said the world should not interfer in the affairs of nations when incumbent decided to grossly abused democratic process.

They better be ready because any attempt to rig the 2019 with Prof.Yakubu, Amina Zakari, security agents will backfire catastrophically.

Meanwhile, Governors from Niger and Mali were part of Buhari's Kano rallies today signifying APC is contradicting itself again as usual.
l pray that Buhari should rig the election and face severe sanctions from the Western world grin

With such precedence Buhari is finished grin grin grin his plans to use Inec and military to suppress free and fair elections seems to be in some trouble ... For four years Buhari instead of Buhari to work he went about killing and plundering the economy and practicing primitive nepotism in the hope that in 2019 he will just announce false results and roll the military but suddenly the plan is looking shaky grin cheesy

Expect the coward Tinubu to start playing safe soon so as to safeguard his international investments
I earnestly pray that APC LED FEDERAL CRIMINALS should rig the election and be served with koboko laden with chilly pepper grin

My dear, this is something every rational leader must avoid.
You don't let these external actors run your country because they can mess up your country if you give them the room to.

Whenever I remember what has become of Libya today as against what it used to be, I feel bad. I just hope the oldie in Aso Rock is watching.

This is very simple. Venezuela is a Democratic Nation, Maduro is undemocratic, the country is in turmoil, he needs to step down or be removed.

In a democracy 1 man cannot hold the country to ransom.

They are not asking Maduro to step down

They want him to conduct another election that other countries, which will monitor it closely, will adjudge free and fair

Undue interference by the western world in the affairs of the Venezuelan state. President Maduro should reject any such attempt to cow him, and by extension the Venezuelan people, into accepting spurious ultimatums.
