A retired Major -Gen. Olu Bajowa, on Saturday, said Nigeria's treasury was safe with President Muhammadu Buhari if re -elected for second term in the Feb. 16 poll.

Bajowa made the remarks in his country home at Igbotako in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State while speaking at a stakeholders meeting of the Legacy Forum group.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the group was established to encourage youth participation in politics, advocate democracy advancement and promote good governance.

NAN also reports that the meeting was called by the group to endorse Buhari for re-election and mobilise members and other Nigerians to support him for another term.

he retired General said that it would be inimical if the country was left in the hands of corrupt leaders and those vying to siphon the treasury Bajowa, who is the Convener and Chairman of the group, said the president had, in the last four years, laid the right foundation for sustainable development in the country.

The groups chairman said that Buhari was a very honest and straightforward man, and remained the most incorruptible leader ever in the country.

He added that the group was impressed with the way Buhari/Osinbajo administration had fought corruption fiercely and sincerely, saying their re-election would bring overwhelming succor to the polity.

According to him, looting and plundering of the country's resources was no more attractive because Buhari does not tolerate it.

O yes, but we have had repeated padded budget with nobody punished for it.
O yes, but we budgeted more billions for Aso Rock clinic more than the money budgeted for all the federal teaching hospitals combined in Nigeria yet even a syringe can not be seen in the clinic as confirmed by the president's wife herself.
O yes, but NNPC boss awarded inflated contracts amounting to billions without following due process.
O yes, but the President withdrew $1b to fight insurgency while the army keep complaining that no money has been given to them nor any equipment bought with the money.
O yes, but no account has been given for the billions claimed to have been recovered by EFCC.
O yes, but the Ikoyi house money has never been mentioned anymore. Meaning it has acquired invincibility power.
The list is endless.
Abeg sing this your music loud for zombies, let them keep dancing while the cabals and Buhari are busy emptying our treasury.

What of Kyari?
Or Tinubu's boy, Fowler, in FIRS?
Or Elrufai's candidates in finance and NOW?

Is Buhari completely aware of what's going on around him?

lol.

you should know buharideens are automated noisemakers.

they shout about corruption in PDP, but when shown the massive looting in APC, they close their ears & bury their heads in the sand while screaming they don't care.

70% of the APC supporters I know support APC because they receive direct monetary inducements or expect to receive such soon & not because of any positive thing PMB has done.

some support PMB because of PYO, others religion.

but none, I repeat, none can point to any spectacular or outstanding achievement that is reason enough to support PMB.

the SFP is good, but the reality of it is that it is just a money siphoning program same as tradermoni & the rest.

but talk about true impactful development, none...
