Democratic God is the tag and overview people who are in a democratic dispensation have about God. They see God as a democratic God who by their groundless notion is involve in their democratic system. So they have to consult this democratic God in order to have a smooth running of their system. After doing all the ground breaking and putting everything in motion if this democratic God didn’t give a go ahead it amounts to futility. Therefore, the face of democratic God must be sought if not things will not augur well.
As a result many candidates representing their parties have to seek the face of this democratic God through one of his agents here on earth. They need the blessing and favour of this democratic God in order to win an election. And whatever the agent of the democratic God says matters a lot for the candidate. It will either make him move forward or withdraw his participation in the electioneering. If it is against him, the implication is that the democratic God has rejected him and he should back off. And in a case that he says yes, it means that the democratic God has approved his candidature therefore, he must move ahead.
So election time becomes a busy time for the so called agents of the democratic God that knows his mind to begin their job. They start to assure their clients of how much confidence they should have in consolidating and winning. The positive postulation from them gives their clients the agility and audacity to match on. The clients of this democratic God are not necessarily Christians; the democratic God is the god of all in politics.
If the prognosis of the agents of this democratic God favours any of the candidates and he wins the election, the candidate has to come and thank the democratic God. He either comes personally or sends his emissaries to come and represent him. Here, his religious background doesn’t count and whoever comes will receive prayer that is prayed in Jesus name. The funny thing is that one candidate can obtain two different kinds of postulations from different agents of the democratic God.

However, surprisingly, this democratic God has been linked to God Almighty. This is a wrong impression that has been created and littered in the hearts people. So when a politician wins an election it is God that made him win. How? Is God involved in elections? A process that doesn’t depict His wisdom! The process involve from the beginning to the end of any election indicates that God is not part of it. Therefore, God is not a democrat and doesn’t get involve in democracy.
Democracy is a product of man’s wisdom and of course is man’s thing and God doesn’t have a hand in it. This is applicable to any other thing man has carved out for himself to make life meaningful in his own way. Such things that are not the making of God, He doesn’t have a hand in the running of it. Don’t be surprise that God is not involve in many things we like to get Him involve and He cannot be just because we want Him to be. Democratic system is virtually the same even in saner countries.
Take for instance where a candidate has gone to any of the agents of the democratic God and requested for prayers. And at the end he comes out victorious. His victory will infer that it is the making of God. And one hears people say something like is God that rose him to be in that position therefore he should use it well. But the way and manner he came into the position shows that it is full of fraudulent activities. Many things helped him to be there, such as cheating, lying, killing, blackmailing and all forms of wickedness.

It is very amusing and amazing that people knowingly and unknowingly give God glory for what He didn’t do. No, what brought the man to power are cheating, lying, killing, blackmailing, nepotism and tribalism. These things are fueled by people’s desires, benefits, greed and affection and they should receive the glory not God.
So people come to power because the people who elected them did so because he is their desire. And to some people, they will benefit from him (benefit here can be anything). Some because of their greed and some because they like the way the man looks. And greater number of people voted for him based on nepotism and tribalism, this is typical of African countries.

The truth is that no politician should go to church to thank God because he won an election. This is because God Almighty is not a democratic God and He is not there in any democratic process. The reason is because God cannot be a party to the selection of an individual based on nepotism, tribalism, cheating, blackmailing and killing etc. Democracy is the making of man and God disassociated Himself from it long before its inception.

See 1 Samuel 8:9-19:

“Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them. And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king. Also he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. Also he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. Again he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;”

The quotation above really depicts what happens in a democratic system. The politicians take your money and feed on it, take your children and make them their bodyguards. Take your land and build their houses on it. Take your daughters and make use of them the way they want. And yet you are the ones that stood out on the sun and rain to elect them. Democracy is not God’s way. And God also said that His ways are not the ways of man (Isaiah.55:8-9).

The truth is that God cannot select or choose an individual based on public opinion. God chooses people that have been rejected and make them the chief corner stone (Psalms 118:22-23). Whatever that is going on in the name of democracy is not of God. And democratic system is not God’s government. God’s government cannot be full of flaws like we have in democracy. Democracy is full of imperfection and cannot be anything near the system of God. Therefore, God is not the democratic God and should be exonerated from its process.
