For those saying they won't convert to CNG because of the explosion of the tank. Well I believe this is said out of ignorance
If your tank is original with right thickness and specifications you won't have any explosion.
If you like, go and allow your technician buy cheap China tank and think it won't explode.
Buy the original specified tank, and you are good to go. |

Politics › Re: Amaewhule: Defected Lawmakers’ Seats Remain Vacant – Rivers Government by 4words: 10:10am On Oct 11, 2024 |
gidigbam1: You guys should borrow sense and stop spreading this falsehood. Because a judgement did not go in your favour it makes the judiciary corrupt. When it goes in your favour the judiciary is not corrupt. Go and read the constitution where in the constitution did it ever mention that 3 people can make laws for a state?
To the issue of defection. If you are a student of Unilag, and you come up on social media to say I am no longer a student of Unilag and that I am now in Babcock University, does the simple fact that you said so on social media automatically make you a student of Babcock University? Of course not because to become a student of Babcock University you must gain an admission and you will be given a Matric number. So if anybody goes to court to claim that you are no longer a student of Unilag while you are still a bonafide student of Unilag with your name in their register, on the ground that they watched you on social media claiming you are now a student of Babcock University will it stand? Is there any stupid judge in the world that will rule in your favour simply because you said so.
Lastly, the constitution gives room for defection if there is a division in the party, that is why Bukola Saraki as the then Senate President defected with his people including Dino Melayi from APC to PDP without losing their seat. So even if the 27 members actually defected, and had gone ahead to register in the APC who in Nigeria today who does not know that there is a division in PDP? There is a Wike Camp and Atiku Camp. There is the Chairman and Secretary Camp, and there is those supporting the legal adviser camp. So even if they defected to APC, they still will not lose their seats because there is a division in the party.
Lastly the only party that has the locus to contest for the vacation of their seat is PDP because they won the election on their platform. So if PDP did not contest that everybody else filing it is wasting their time because they don't have the locus standi to file for such.
You guys should go to school and get educated it is very important, so you don't come here and be making emotional comments based on your sentiment of the enemy of my friend is my friend. Thank you for this. The others are just ranting without substance. When the supreme Court gives her judgement, then they will know its not by crying online. |

Business › Re: Clarification On Crude Supply By NNPC - Dangote by 4words: 10:31pm On Aug 09, 2024 |
SmallmebigGod: I am suggesting that we should allow market fair play. All refineries be it private or government own should get share of available crude based on capacity.
Glo is coexisting with MTN that is true privatization. The masses have benefited from the competition in that sector. Leading to price being more favorable . Monopoly is never a good option. One there can't be market fair play as the industry is highly regulated by both the national and international government. However, I agree that all should get the available crude. Our concern here s that the IOC are not selling to locals. Also, you can't be crying of monopoly when no one else is taking on the challenge of building and when someone builds, you shout monopoly. I will rather have a local monopoly than importing. Just imagine we have at least one individual in different industries Nigeria, just imagine what it will do to our currency and how lucrative Nigeria will be. At least let's have companies first before we start talking of demystifying monopoly. Cheers |
Business › Re: Clarification On Crude Supply By NNPC - Dangote by 4words: 6:45pm On Aug 09, 2024 |
SmallmebigGod: There is plenty sense here. But you know MTN nigeria is not local right? There are many ways government can leverage on the Refinery being in Nigeria. Crude swap for refined products is one but other refinery must work let's not enter into a dangerous monopoly Are you suggesting we should wait for all other refinery to work before we start producing or supporting local refinery that is ready to operate? How long do we need to wait for other refinery to work? Don't forget we have being waiting forever for Nigerian refineries to work but to no end and you want us to keep waiting. Haba now, thats not fair on us. I don't know why dangote is even bothered. If I was him, I will import my crude from other African countries and also sell to them and other African countries. At the end, its Nigerians that will come begging. Mtn is local even though the investors are partly south Africans and others, but its still local. So long it pays taxes to your government and employ your people then its local... don't also forget, taxes are meant to be use to create viable environment and infrastructure for the said business that is paying it to strive, so yea MTN is local with diverse investors. |
Business › Re: Clarification On Crude Supply By NNPC - Dangote by 4words: 3:27pm On Aug 09, 2024 |
SmallmebigGod: How is Dangote a local content. When refined fuel sells at almost same cost as imported. And the example you cited did not follow. None of the companies supported by US threatened government export revenue and their trade dispute with China doesn't mean many tiger countries are not trading freely and competing with locals. It's local content because the company is located In Nigeria and pay tax on some things to Nigeria, employ locals to work in the company who also in turn pay tax and it cascade down to their families. He will make the petroleum products available meaning scarcity will be reduced or eliminated. Now he will sell at internatuonal price because he buys the crude at international price, if you want him to sell cheap, sell crude to him cheap. what we are saying is sell to him first. |
Business › Re: Clarification On Crude Supply By NNPC - Dangote by 4words: 3:15pm On Aug 09, 2024 |
SmallmebigGod: Why will a law mandate a country to sell her resources to a private establishment and meet allnthe demand of such private establishment.
Obviously something is wrong somewhere.
In Nigeria need to stop selling crude to international market to meet Dangote's refineries demand because "it is a law" See them, these are the country saboteurs. Have you asked western countries like USA why they won't allow some China products into their country or why China had to ban iphone for Huawei Or you don't know what they call local content first? Ignorant lots. |
Business › Re: Clarification On Crude Supply By NNPC - Dangote by 4words: 3:07pm On Aug 09, 2024 |
SocialJustice: Dangote should have just gathered $5bn extra to buy OMLs. All his businesses produce from assets they own, they don't buy raw materials from anybody. There is even a fertiliser company that bought OML just to secure gas supply for their factory.
If this refinery was in Niger delta, Dangote will simply site the refinery on his OML. Even greenville lng has their own OML.
Ever before building this refinery, Dangote should have been buying OMLs. This is what I have been saying. Let him go and raise fund, buy oil well and drill his own crude. All these IOC nonsense and government playing politics will stop. Because I don't understand how IOC will not fulfill local obligations and be exporting the country crude. Makes no sense. So IOC is now more powerfully than our government and can do whatever they like in our country. SMH. The country is sold. |

wealthyprince: Who will conduct LG election?
The State. If it is the State then forget the law....What is the law when i have my people incharge of LGAs.
Nigeria law always have loophole. The Rich and elites know this. They may hold it but once election is done they will release it. Once the local government becomes independent, the election will overtime become strengthened. Federal government conduct elections for states, does that mean federal government always influences it? Same thing will eventually happen with LG. We are not there yet but with time, it will get better. |

Government is responsible for all these inflation and FX instability.
Give the Dollars to banks. Monitor and mandate them to sell to people who needs it.
It's ridiculous that one can't use the naira ATM cards to make any online foreign purchase as it used to be before. Government made access and demand for FX very difficult, yet they want the naira to appreciate.
The naira ATM card is extremely useless beyond Nigeria market and this is the main reason why people are desperate for dollars and will buy at any amount. I have 1000$ cash I will sell at 1280 naira |
