Alhaji Yar’Adua is in the lead in Edo, Ogun, Osun, Sokoto, Rivers, Delta states.
In Ogun, the PDP candidate got 583,806 as against the AC which came a distant second with 75,310; and ANPP with 55,605; Osun - 594,512; AC – 131,123; ANPP 57,998; Sokoto – PDP 418,446 (19 local governments out of 23); ANPP 87,734; and DPP – 82,738; Delta – PDP 1,158,609; AC – 36,127 and ANPP – 8,127; Ebonyi – PDP 646,000; PPA – 27024; ANPP – 6392; AC 1,591.

Edo – PDP – 700,604 out of the 779,288 cast; Imo – PDP 744,876 against APGA’s 21,216; AC’s 18391; and ANPP’s 10,159.
In Rivers, Yar’Adua got 1,841,956 while Atiku got 53,322 and Buhari 55,429; Lagos - Atiku got 599,300 followed by Yar’Adua with 383,956 and Orji Kalu of PPA with 85,473; FCT - Buhari 91,217; Yar’Adua 74,882; Atiku 16,746; Akwa Ibom - Yar’Adua 1,149,008; Atiku 10,900; Oyo- PDP 391,164; AC 204,196; ANPP 125,645; ADC 1,084.
