it was a soft landing for thief onnoghen.

The moment I heard NJC had adjourned their sitting to Feb 11th from Jan 29th, I knew the process was going to be one long and tedious one with back and forth that would make people lose interest in the issue. It's an honourable thing for the NJC to observe due process in the face of the tout-like action of Mr President.

If Onnoghen is found wanting, appropriate disciplinary measures should be meted out. If not, a solid framework should be laid that would discourage other leaders with dictatorial tendency from towing similar line.

So now we know that the news being peddled in some quarters that NJC had recommended Onnoghen for retirement was false and a product from descendants of Lai Mohammed.
