The north is only better in the aspect of roads. Oil money from the south is used to build high quality roads for the northerners. Aside that, the northerners do not have any outstanding infrastructure. All their houses are mostly mud houses and bungalows at most. You'll be hard pressed to find a storey building in the north. The few storey buildings there were built by Igbos.

Bauchi

Mina etc are far better than some of the southern states I've been to.

Even Maiduguri is ahead of some southern states. Forget about what media have been feeding you with. Maiduguri is a beautiful city in spite the insurgency.

There's a difference between a country being poor and a country being the poverty capital of the world.

A country being the poverty capital of the world is when the country (ie Nigeria) has the highest number of people living in poverty in the world while a country being poor is when the country lacks the resources to develop.

Nigeria has resources, She's not so "poor" but she has the highest number/percentage of poor people in the world

you have probably lived in cities your whole life. Take a trip to more remote parts of this country and see how people live. You will forget all this story and confess that Nigeria is POOR.
