Around 6:30pm yesterday, I had one open trade, and two pending positions. At 10pm when I checked, there was no open position!

Puzzled, I wanted to know what was hit - SL or TP, and discovered my open trade hit target, and both pending trades triggered, and hit SL with a combined loss of 160pips! Yawa! This tsunami sef It will soon be over.

Thank God the profit on the other trade was enough to net some profit. That is fx for you!

It's amazing the strategy adopted to keep their currency strong. JPY pairs are no go areas for now except the analysis is so sure.

Japan does not want a strong Yen. You would recall that sometime in September last year, BOJ intervened to stem Yen's strength but it amounted to nothing!

In my humble opinion, the Yen's strength is coming in two folds - safe heaven in times of crisis (such as this), and then demand for Yen due to relief efforts.

Meanwhile, GU appears to be forming an uptrend setup.

Same here, my GJ short that was pending picked up but was for the wrong move, ended up kissing red lips lol.

Anyways, for now, it's NTP for me.

This report is released once every three months. If we get a decent deviation, we might be able to scalp a few pips.

4. **** Thursday, March 24, 2011 (10:30AM Nigerian Time) - UK Retail Sales
A decent deviation should bring us a decent spike.

5. ** Friday, March 25, 2011 (01:30Pm Nigerian Time) - US GDP
I haven't decided yet if I am going to trade it. As we get closer to this report, I will make a recommendation then.

I will send you an email with more information about each 3, 4 and 5 Star reports within 12 hours before the release. In my opinion, all 1 and 2 Star reports are not worthy to trade. These reports do not yet have an established track record, and I do not want to expose you to unnecessary risk. If you are a very experienced trader and like to take some extra risk, you may still try to trade them.

The austerity vote which was not approved by the Portuguese parliament may further drive EU down for most part of the day coupled with Irish problem which are a bane to the European Union.
